May:

1. Tekken 5 (Namco, System 256) =
2. Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Federation vs. Z.A.F.T. (Banpresto, Triforce) =
3. Melty Blood (School Software, Naomi) NEW
4. GGXX Reload (Sammy, Naomi) UP
5. Virtua Fighter 4 FT (Sega, Naomi 2) DOWN
6. Virtua Striker 4 (Sega, Triforce) DOWN
7. Rumble Fish 2 (Dimps, Atomiswave) NEW
8. A Mahjong game (who cares) NEW
9. KOF 02 (SNKP, MVS) DOWN
10. Mushihimesama (Cave, PCB) DOWN

Just thought I could start this thread with Arcadia's TOP TEN ranking, and keep updating it with the changes. I'm trying to note the company and hardware of each game, some help to fill some blanks would be nice. The last part is its variation respect last month.
I think it's nice to know what are the Japanese playing to at the arcades.

Tremendous idea Amano, I'm with you on this one.

I can't purchase my copy of arcadia right now since I'm abroad but I can give you a hand when I'll come back.

What mainman +

It's a homebrew game with characters from a Hentai game. It was made for the PC and ported to Naomi. There is a push to bring it out of DC (doubtful). Not sure where you can buy it though, I'd love to pick up a copy.

Remember that the older the post, the older the ranking is. My last post has the latest ranking, and Mushihime dropped from it. From what I can remember, the higest I have ever seen it (and I started looking around April) was 8th.

woah, a Naomi fighter adaption of a homebrew PC hentai game?

Man, those wacky Japanese ... :kekeke:

Well, guess I'll pass on this one then, thanks for the info guys.

@Amano, I wanted to say that I'm surprised Mushihime disappeared so quickly, but then again, I guess the rank it got was okay, given that it's a 2D-ish shmup. Dunno about the former rankins of other 2D hori shmups like Border Down or ProGear, tho.

Well, this game is not Hentai, it is a 2D fighting game with beatiful anime-like characters, it is "ported" from the PC version, of which you can download a free demo (or the full game from warez).

is it a good investment for a tiforce??

If I could get a decent deal on the Mario Kart (is it even out yet?) and somehow figure out how to rig it up to play, I'd buy one.

Looks like putting both of you two on ignore will be a better solution. I don't now which one is more retarded, the spammer or his follower.

No idea about the 10th game "鋳薔薇" :conf:

That would be Ibara, Cave's latest game.

Thanks for the list. I find it weird that there are three soccer games in there,
I don't think I ever thought Japanese would be this crazy about soccer arcade
games?

To the best of my knowledge (which is highly debatable, i'd add), Progear tanked (i.e. no success whatsoever, even in its launch month), while Border Down was tenth on its launch month, and spent about 10 months in the TOP 20, (i.e. orbiting between the eleventh and the twentieth position). This, of course, in response to the probably ancient question :puzzled:
