As all you can see, this is the official model for ps3. I really don't like the shape of the new vg, but when i see for the first time the ps2 I don't like it too (I just need a time to "digest" it), but the controler... why they modify it? "puke"

I am very impressed with the look of the PS3. Unfortunately, I am worried about the possible hardware issues that have plagued Sony Gaming systems in the past. I really hope they rethink the whole controller issue. I have no idea what made them go with that particular setup. I would prefer a controller similar to the PS1 and Dual Shock ones. I guess I'll see in 2 days at E3 DDD .

Anyway, I like the the systems design though it is a bit bland.
The white and black systems (god I hope they make the cut) look better to me as they counter the blandness a bit.
I am all for the slot loading and the aparrent inclusion of touch sensitive controlls in the front (alla Ipod).
I am NOT for that lame ass controller however. The PS controller should stay as is. Only modifications it could really use would be a better d-pad and RF wireless dapabillity.

Why would Sony support Compact Flash and SD Cards? Sounds fake, but at least we dont have to wait long to find out.

I personaly love the look of the console. Very clean and simple. As for that controller, dear god.

I love the console in white, really clean and class looking.

I'm not having it. It looks shite, I don't beleive it. The control pad is what leads me to beleive its not real and the PC style PSU input. Where are the card slots and the removable HDD? Maybe that front bit flaps up or summat as it has those 3 dots. Why does it even support SD and compact flash?
Check out the amount of disk media it can read. The laser will be so strained you'll get DREs after 2 days. There is no fan vent either. Bah.

Also nobody has yet mentioned the "Design and specifications are subject to change without notice" part. If it is true, It'll most certainly change before release.

The resolution of UMD movies is possibly not good enough for a normal/big sized TV. Just get the DVD movies.

I pretty much like the specs of this PS3, I couldn't care less about how it looks like (it doesn't dislike me anyway). The controller looks like a total joke too, and it's a shame I can't keep using my PS 1/2 controllers, and specially my MAS stick, unless they release an USB adaptor for them. However I like wireless controllers out of the box, just like 360 (it's fun how it matches most of the 360 specs). I'm surprised it accepts flash cards other than Sony's Duo, I thought they'd take this chance to dominate that market, they already started with the PSP. The internet conection (and its price) it's still a mystery, but I'm glad they didn't talk about "microtransactions" (or pay-extra-for-the-full-content-of-the-game-you-idiot) bullshit. Wifi PSP interactivity and backwards compatibility with both PS1 and 2 games is nice too.

i always love sony (but i play and respect xbox and cube), but the only vg i like the desing in this next-gen is the xbox360 design. now someday (in far away future) we can see the revolution controller :P
