2 Button K1
3 Select
4 Button D
5 Button B
6 Right
7 Down
8 5V +
9 Button K 2
10 Button K 3
11 Start
12 Button C
13 Button A

Custom Stick Layout:
Primer1.jpg

(A,B,C,D,Start,Coin) are standard Neo Geo Buttons. (K1,K2,K3) go to the Extra Button (Kick) Harness. Atomiswave button (E) can be wired to one of the Kick buttons (see Below)

Custom Harness Input:
Primer2.jpg

(K1), (K2) and (K3) are wired to the Dsub-15.
(E) is wired to Pin 26/d' on the Jamma Harness.
Note that a Jumper between (K1) and (E) makes button (K1) on the custom stick to press the Atomiswave's Fifth Button.

Select/Coin Switch:
Primer3.jpg

Select Mode: Allows Select Button on Neo Geo Controller to activate the Atomiswave's fifth Button (or the game select button on the MVS).

Coin Mode: Drops Coins as normal.

Not a bad idea dude, not bad. I like the ability to pick your layout. One option, though you would predetermine potential options, is to use multipole, multithrow switches to change the layout without having to resort to external jumpers.

I like the speaker terminals because you don't have to wire a special connector for every type of harness. Just buy the harness, stip the wires and stick it in. Any Noob Can use it without having to sending a harness to me to retrofit with a proprietary (Din 6?) connector.

When I did another gun, I used 3x2 binding posts rather than the 4x2 speaker connector. On that one, I used a DPST switch to wire Button (E) to (K1).

I prefer the speaker terminal rather than the Binding posts. It looks nicer and takes up less room. Since I have an extra hole, I just wire Button (E) to it.

You could always put a ground there and Switch it like I did with the Binding posts.

Could you post pics of the instide of the stick?
I have been wanting to do something simmilar to this for some time now.
Just been trying to come up with A way to make it more adaptable.
Nice SG BTW.

EDIT:
Where can I get the DB15 plugs?
I have been looking up & down for them.
Digi-Keys website is confusing as hell so if they have them anyone know the part number?

I can get you regular d-sub solder-type sockets. PM me how many you need and what sexes you need. I pick them up from a local retail outlet. Many retailers don't stock them. I always take an opportunity to buy them from my supplier for other people just so he will keep them in stock.

The cableld Dsubs I got on E-bay. They are standard PC extensions. I cut it off 6" from the Male end. I use the male end as a socket and the female end I connect to a stick.

The inside is nothing Special.

Just a 15 conductor cable that runs to the switches on up, down, left, right, A,B,C,D,K1,k2,k3,coin and start.

And another daisey connects all of the switches to the ground.

Yea I thought those looked like the Belken extension cables, I have 2 or 3 of those but I don't want to hack them up.
Now when you say "regular d-sub" they are the same ones used on the neo AES units?
The only reason I ask is coz it seems like every time I call/Email somebody about them they always say "Yes we have 15 pin d-subs." then I show up & they end up being monitor sockets.
Again sorry for sounding like A total noob here but I just did not expect to find somebody who can help me get these.
Thanks.

by regular:

I mean that they are not cabled... Just a socket with 15 pins and 15 solder points.

A monitor uses a 15 pin HIGH density (three row) D-Sub. Your Neo Uses a regular or low density version.

it's not the same as the Neo because the socket on the Neo is much deeper than any standard d Sub. so you will have to hack something up to get a female end to work in the neo.

Well I figured they were not cabled & I knew about cutting back the plastic on the ext. cables.
These are all going to be for coustom sticks & what not so I don't need to worry about them not fitting the AES (I'll just use the EXT. cable for that).
Guess what I ment to say is that they are the same style.
