i sent in my new pics a couple weeks ago

checked the page a few minutes ago and noticed the last update is dated may 2004?

is mccabe still in charge?

when are we going to get an update?

I emailed Joe My pics a couple month back, and even resized/compressed them for him.

He told me he was very busy and it might take awhile, but after about a month of waiting, he finally put them up.

Conversely, one could make a Geocities page or something and upload their own photographs, and link to it like. Whatever the motivation -showing off or sharing- it works perfectly well. A free solution too, by the way.

I think an easy remedy would be to grant someone else the ability to update/upload collection pix as well, in addition to Joe. It seems he has a hard time keeping it timely.

Have a look at the site front page and watch the update dates. There is no surprise to hear this kind of story. I'm quite sure that most of the members here now go directly to the forum without paying attention to the rest of the site.
I went to the front page to check the date before posting and it was the first time since ages.

Twasn't directed at you specifically, just a general suggestion. And a valid one I maintain, all made easy today through site builders.

But moving on, this place eventually became quite political and for that you must expect a fair degree of inactivity on issues we the people care about, and a certain amount of general injustice in how the place is run.

I doubt anything will happen. I've been asking to get the reviews section updated. I sent in my SvC Chaos review in a few months after it's release and it was never put up. It almost makes you wonder why you're a part of something that somebody else (seemingly) cares about.

Ah yes... the reviews section. My achilles heel. I will start updating them again in the future, probably this summer when I've cleared the 3 year Vietnam that is law school. Good observation too_short.

The problem is, unlike moderating the forums or updating the photo album, the reviews take me a good while each to put up.

However, when I do start updating them again I will put up a nice big thread soliciting new reviews.

Hang on to them if you have them!
