great auction

I'd buy them if I had the money but to be honest, any code I would write could probably be prototyped in an emulator, it would be that basic :(

he offers a securtity service as well he says, where he will add some code for a fee, and even produce MVS cart cases etc for you.

nice, but skills would be more useful for me at the moment .. sigh

Yeah... but... why not just sac a cheap cart and slap on sockets and jumpers? Seems like a cheaper solution...

That's actually how I've built my test carts...

The only thing is, you can't use SNK's boards to sell your own games. If I were to offer a game comercially, first I would make sure it was commercial quality :) then I would contact Vektorlogic about using their boards & casings.

The purple case for Super Bubble Pop is rather nice looking. I wish I had these casings for all of my MVS carts.

The vague "Gentlemen..." comment is lost on me. Is that supposed to mean something?

Oh... I see. However, I think this is the wrong type of thread that he would pipe into since it has absolutely nothing to do with protos. This thread is about 3rd party dev boards, not some lost proto or hardware.

Don't normally pipe in on ng.com anymore - but to allay any fears - the PCBs will not fit into standard neo geo cases either - again for copyright reasons - so nobody can buy these and start to try to sell them in neo black cases as copied carts - they need to go into new cases and they need to be assembled without DIP sockets for clearance.

and yes they're not that cheap - cost a bit to make too ;-) but production runs and quantity purchases obviously are much cheaper as it becomes economically viable to do - it's not designed for the pure home user, moreso the potential developer who wouldn't want to mess around with sac carts and then having to troubleshoot connections if they messed it up - rather someone who wants to buy something off the shelf that they can use and knows that it will work - it is the same 2 base boards that were used in SBP and Manic Panic, so they are proven

Just 10 c

Someone adds the 'gentlemen' word to the Neo-Glossary already... :kekeke:
