No WAY! I always wondered what looked like. Those screenshots look pretty interesting actually. I guess it was at least playable? Really curious about this game now.
Thanks, Raz. Does anyone actually know of a proto for this? Man, I'd love to at least see a video.

I'm out of the loop. I know about those "certain" sellers, but I didn't know about the screens. I'll have to dig around for the post. |

Since I'm surprised no one else has said it:
"It is not real, it is a pretender" I agree with the others, how do we know these aren't just magazine scans with nothing more? Can't the insecure person take a picture of the working game on a TV or at least the cartridge itself? No one send this jackass money until you have proof. BTW: who is the guy in those NGF photos? Does he actually think I care he spent over $600 for a game I bought for $70 on my MVS cab?

Yeah, supposedly NGF produced replicas for The Warlock of the Fates... we don't know who bought it anyway... any Big Tymers around here?
Neverless, I'm pretty sure working protos/protoreplicas for TWOTF do exist out there. And with all this great official art Xacrow showed us, that would potentially result in a nice 'converted' cart... ![]() I would die to get this one, or Brikinger, or some other titles I've stuck in my mind...

Character names translitteration attemp!
1) witch girl = RABII (RABYURUAANYA - RIIPURIBBI) That could result in something like 'Lavie', from something like 'Lavioularnia Leeprebb') 2) gold swordman = J (DIADEMU - JUSUTISU - JYANCAARU) Well, J is J, the complete seems french to me, something like 'Diadem Justice Jeancarl', his moves names seems full of French as well... More to come? |

Gentlemen,
First...this is for Bobak... >>> BTW: who is the guy in those NGF photos? Does he actually think I care he spent over $600 for a game I bought for $70 on my MVS cab? <<< You, as well as many others around here, need to understand and know the history behind things before making assumptions. Someone here was bored and decided to toss in some drama and so they grabbed those pics off an old NGF website and posted them here. I was not, am not, and never will be an "NGF fanboy". I wrote several articles back then and I did not have a website in which to post them and NGF offerred me webspace so I took it. The photos that were posted were actually originally posted on my website around December of 1999 and back then the Phantom-1 did not exist. During that time period there was a stranglehold on the converted home cartridge market where people were paying crazy prices for converted MVS carts and being told they were "super rare" limited official releases. Neo-Geo.Com did not exist either so "misinformation" was running amuck. I went public with the converter concept and the truth about NGF's "converted" cartridges and the whole thing finally crumbled down. Those 4 pictures are taken out of context. There was originally twice as many pictures which told a STORY of what was going on and what I was doing. It woke people up which was my intention and ever since things have never been the same again. (knowledge is power) So in short, your right Bobak...your actually amplifying what was my point in the storyboards which was that paying $1,000 for a home cart metal slug or a converted Pulstar was a complete rip off and a waste of money because with a converter you could buy the MVS carts for $50. Does this make it any clearer now? I just want to make sure you are not believing or creating a skewed NEO-GEO history. Now, with that addressed, I might as well respond to this as well... Quote:
I could sware that I have written this as CLEAR as possible SEVERAL times over througout the proto threads in these forums, but just in case let me repeat it yet another time. We don't care about screenshots. We don't care about pictures. We don't care about videos. We don't care about flyer or magazine scans. These things are all great, fine, and just dandy but what we DO care about and what we DO need from Xacrow is FAR SIMPLER and takes FAR less of his time to provide us with. WE WANT THE GAME CODE NUMBERS. PERIOD! PLEASE explain this to Xacrow and get this information for us. Also one small sidenote...those warlocks of the fates scans are useless. They were already provided to us (watermark-free I might add) many years ago. Regards, Billy Pitt

His recent post is exactly why he is the worst possible person to say he is representing the "community". All of his "we want this" shit needs to be changed to "I want this". If I was the person who had these unreleased protos, I would NEVER release them due to the harassment. Not only does he harass the people who posses the roms, and like in his recent post, he harasses the people who have contact. Oh, and I couldnt care less about the numbers. |

If you want to talk about what 99.9% of the community, you are right, most don't care about code numbers. But those same people don't have the resources or stamina to get these games, and most don't give a shit about the neo to begin with. And I suggest that you all are missing the bigger picture - we get all these leads about these games, yet the person involved cannot take a simple 4 seconds in Neo rage to tell us what the code numbers are? What could the reason possibly be for not giving out this information freely when screenshots and flier scans are meticulously posted week after week?
If you all are so concerned about someone "representing the community," then by all means, come up with the thousands of dollars to buy these games and get to work convincing the assholes who have them to sell them to you, then grace with your generosity by throwing your investment down the toilet and giving out the game for free. The truth is the people who can make the release of these games happen fully realize that the thanks of the community is about as worthwhile and meaningful as a fart in the air. This community has Billy to thank for having the ability to play Ghostlop for free, whether you are willing to admit that is beyond anyone's control. So lets see it, put up or shut up. Maybe you can make a post in the "wanted" forum and one of these romhoarders from Japan will email you with all the great unreleased games he has sitting on his PC. ![]() |
