I recently bought a 4 slot MVS board with Unibios to replace my one slot. Does anyone have a good template for drilling the button hole? Will any additional wiring be required or is it fairly plug and play? I want to know if I can do this myself or if I should call the techs.

get a momentary spst push button...wire one wire to pin 26 on the harness and the other wire to ground....put them to the two poles on the button and mount it.

easy job...

are you doing this in a cab? did you fix the sound wiring when swapping the 1 slot out for the 4? MVS and jamma have different test buttons and sound setups.

Yeah its a cab, havent done anything yet. I just ordered the board today. So the mvs-1f and the 4 slot have different set ups?

Check www.hardmvs.com for the differences in sound wiring. The select button thing is pretty much straight forward, anyway take care that with the unibios, if you have a coin button wired then select is not really needed, although it is still useful and recommended to have it if possible.

I have player 1 and two start buttons, and it's set on freeplay, is that the same thing as a coin button?

very slightly

the test button for the one slot is on pin 15 from the jamma harness and the test button for the 4 slot is on pin M. Also, the 4 slot is stereo and the one slot is mono, so you would have to rewire the audio. They aren't big mod jobs...

No, it's not the same thing, I meant an actual coin button. Definately you should wire the select button, then. You won't need a coin button.

A couple of other things to watch out for - The test switch is wired to a different pin on the 4 slots (I forgot which one it changed to offhand), and the speaker wiring is different (But if you're like me and running audio pff the headphone jack connector, then the test switch is all you need to worry about)

the test button is pin 15 on jamma and pin M on mvs
