You've probably seens some info on this around the net. Looks bloody great, makes me want to get a PGM. Its supposedly made up of RPG characters. There's a video somewhere, I posted it before, I can find it again if anyone's interested.

new, hand-drawn sprites, great look, possibly great mechanics, all on a system and by a company I imagine is way smaller than SNKP. what can you do eh?

That looks like a decent game, and that system needed a good swordfighter. I didn't bite on Killing Blade because almost no one has anything good to say about it. Well, almost no one had anything at all to say about it, and that's an even worse sign.

That having been said, I expect that this cart will be as difficult to get as always. IGS is a pain to deal with, and distributors mark up their carts as a result.

it is my understanding that this game was more popular than NBC this last AOU show. it was I think within the top 5 most popular games at the show

Has it been confirmed that it's being done for the PGM? Only thing I'd heard was that was the assumption, but after the last Sangoku Senki installment got released on the Atomiswave instead of the PGM, I'd been assuming we'd be lucky to see another PGM release, ever. Hoping like hell this will be PGM...

I can see why. There's seems to be a whole lot of love put into those sprites, looks like a page torn right out of Capcom's mid-90s design book. Hmmm, this may necessitate a purchase. I don't know much about PGM, how differently is it wired from MVS? It would be a thing of beauty if I could just slap that into my 2-slot cab.

I'm not 100% sure but I think its wired the same way as MVS? I really don't know.

I'm pretty sure this is PGM - the graphics/colours look like they where produced on that hardware. neo-arcadia.com speak about it as if this is a given so my money is on this being PGM.

edit: here's some footage from AOU:

edit2: never mind. link's broken

If it's JAMMA, of course it's wired the same way, SILLY.

P.S. The PGM uses that extra connector next to P1 Button3 and P2 Button3 for Button4, which is the same way the finger connector on a PGM is. So if your harness is wired for that, you're fine.

I knew that I much, I just wondered if it used the same JAMMA+ config as the MVS, since it was so clearly aimed at the same market.

I know, I was being sarcastic along with offering info for those not in the know.

Hence, the use of the all caps SILLY.

I have a PGM with Demon Front and Knights of Valour, this game looks very interesting, however PGM games are much rarer and more expensive than the MVS ones from the same time, so as everybody, I expect this one to be expensive as hell for a long while :crying:

I really want game. The charakter design is absolutely fantastic!
Well, there will surely (I hope) be a PS2 version from Idea Factory in the future.

Its pricetag is set at $2k right now though. It should drop in price though.

Is this game in cart form, or one of those all in one motherboard deals?

n00b question: What is PGM? :emb:
Here's a quick quote from the top of the PGM Owners thread:
Dash no Chris said:
For those who are unfamiliar with IGS CO., LTD. and its PGM arcade hardware, IGS (International Games System) is a Taiwanese company, with a website at www.igs.com.tw . The PGM (PolyGame Master) is a mother-board / daughter-cart system, the design of which seems VERY reminiscient of recent editions of the NEO-GEO MVS 1-slot mobos. More info on the PGM can be found here (in English), and here (in German).

Interestingly enough, the concept for this game didn't come out of the blue. It has some connection to previous Idea Factory releases, and appears to be a release by Idea Factory in cooperation with IGS.
