Hello neo-geo fans,

First of all, in order to provide you feedback on myself, my profile under ebay is vancouvercanucks190 and I have already dealt on this forum with curtwrx and Kenny Boy and some other fans on this forum.

On the 17th of December 2004, CarBaXinE sent me the package that I have paid 700 USD including SVC Chaos US, Aero Fighters 2, AOF3 JAP and SS4 JAP. I have paid them in a second and even have paid the paypal fees even though I have seen later that with paying with the balance, there is no fees charged to the seller.

Knowing the quality of the games and the big amount paid, I could reasonnally thought that the package was tracked. And after waiting weeks and weeks, he told me that it was shipped via airmail, no tracking and obviously, the post office don't know where this a package is. Now, we are the 8th of February 2005 and still no package. I have try to discuss it again with him but no response ??? Considering the situation, do you think that's fair that I take full responsability on this issue ? I guess I have no choice, he has my money and in exchange, I have nothing...

Considering his reputation, I cannot say that he is a scammer as he has very positive feedback but on my side I'm more than honest too and don't think that is a fair situation.

I know that Insaneclown is a big friend of him so maybe, you could give some extra informations on him...

This is the most expensive deal that I have done and bad luck, it's the only one that I have problem !!!

I can't comment on your deal, and I hope it gets resolved, but I'd like to point out that this is not true. For sellers who only have a Premier Account for receiving payments, they are charged the 4% fees whether or not the payment is from the balance. In order to take balance payments for nothing, one needs a second personal account - not everyone has this.

He must have shipped your parcel SURFACE which take 4-6 weeks to deliver because airmail takes 7-11 days. I use airmail all of the time BUT then again, if he lives in Canada I've read that their postal system is pretty shakey efficient wise.
I hope everything works out for you but as the buyer it would be best to detail what method of shiopping you want, the amount to declare on the parcel and mark as 'GIFT' in the future.

Thanks for the advice, I have secured the last transactions that I have done, learning from this story... However, I hope that it's the canadian postal efficency as a problem and still believe that this package will arrive one day...

crazy canuck,

I have had alot of deals with our fellow canadian members and I can assure you, that your package is on the way. I had a deal here with member EMAGDNIM for a MS4 or MS3 (been a while so I cant remember which cart it was). He mailed it out with a tracking number and I still didnt receive it for a little over a month. The package was held up in Canada at the Customs Office in Mississaugua. I know there is a way to contact them but you would have to call directory assistance and have them re-direct you to a Canadian operator who can connect you. Also, I see that your location is Switzerland. Your parcel could also be held up in the customs office on your end of the world. Hopefully, it will turn up soon. I have been in your situation before, and I realize it is very discomforting to have spent your money and have nothing to show for it. Hope everything works out for the best.

Thanks for your comments phillip, it seems that shipping from Canada is not really fast... By the way, do you have any kind of numbers that I can reach in the canadian customs in order that I can maybe have useful informations ???

Thanks for your help.

Hi Gerald,
I think Ive dealt with you before through ebay - I recognise your I.D - mine on ebay is:
kr1-s
from what I remember I sold you a few bits and you were 100% legit, no problems.

Looking at the amount of carts and the weight involved, it couldnt come via airmail unless it was in 2 seperate packages.
The optios for items over 2KG will either be EMS, or SURFACE, so as its taking a while and theres no tracking number, its probably surface, which can take a couple of months.

Ive bought some items off Carbaxine - i think it was some NG posters and they arrived in about a week, so I know he's a good reliable seller - Im sure your items will arrive mate.

Gerald,

Sorry, I dont have any info to give you. When I was having my problems with receiving my package, EMAGDNIM took care of everything since he was the seller. You may want to PM him as he is still a member here and maybe he can point you in the right direction. Sorry I couldnt be of more help.

It wouldn't be the canadian custom that would hold up your package, it would be switz custom

most country dont give a shiet what goes out, its what comes in
exception of fire arms and drugs of cos

well he said he shipped it by airmail, so in theory 2 month is well enough for airmail, but he might have sent it by surface to save money or possibly not knowning he sent it by surface

anyway, as a seller, i wouldn't possibly sent something of such high value without insurance

being a buyer, should prob have stated insurance post.

I couldnt say if he is legit or not, but i would say its stupid to post it without insurance!

Normally i would post it with insurance but not neccessary taking the full insured amount (may be insure as $30), that would assure the buyer that you have sent the parcel.

Actually, Canadian Customs would hold it up. They were the ones who held up my MS3 in customs (Which was being shipped from Canada to California).

I'm sorry to read about your loss.
I have been watching how this situation would be handled from the background and just was'nt satisfied with how the seller responded to your dilemma.
The best thing to do is deal with issues of this nature immediately and stay on top of it and I find the seller did just the opposite which is not a good sign.
Nothing just vanishes into thin air unless it's a mainstream item that most people in the world can find use for, that is not the case with Neo Geo games.
Something will eventually turn up alot of times, either the buyer or seller will receive the parcel upto three months later.
All I can recommend is in the future, you have expensive items shipped via Express mail that way you have a tracking # for the items. Make this the rule and at least you won't play guessing games on the whereabouts of your parcels.

Not to hijack this thread, but just to clear up some misconceptions about Canadian postal service...
Canada Post is generally pretty decent for domestic delivery, offering fast and reliable service. I have never personally had a problem and have used their express services numerous times.
Canadian Customs on the other hand is a severe bitch. There have been several times where I tried to import a small item from the US(T-shirt etc) and paid almost as much in custom charges as I did for the item itself.

Yep. I can vouch for how bad Canadian Customs can be. I sent a bottle of rice wine to my old man once. It arrived at Customs in Vancouver in August and took four and a half months to finally clear. After it did, my old man still had to pay a $40 custom charge to receive it.

I was shipping an item to Canada(from the U.S.) just the other week. I was going to send it EMS and I asked about tracking for the item. The worker at the post office said that there is no tracking for international packages. Also I wanted to put insurance on the package with EMS and the worker said that Canada does not accept insurance on EMS only on Air Mail. This all seemed odd to me. I went to the USPS website and checked on the accuracy of what the worker told me. The only thing that I could think happened was the worker confused EMS with Global Priority because I could add insurance on the EMS but not the Global Priority. I still did not find out about the international tracking though. Can someone here clear this up for me?

As a Canadian, I feel I should answer this one.

International tracking is available. You'll be able to track the package until it leaves the country.

Then you'll have to go to the other country postal service website to keep tracking the package.

I once sent a package in Ohio and had bought the tracking option. I followed the package until it left Canada. I had to go to the USPS website so I could know where the package was. I didn't know about this until I called Canada Post and was told to do that.

In the end they lost the package and I got a refund...
