I only just realised that's Masterpiece Starscream looking teeny-tiny next to the statue.

Yeah the Starscream is 32" in height and weighs about 50lbs.

What's the deal with the loaf of bread on the Blast City?

My meal for the week...Got to cut expenses somewhere to soften the blow.

That’s possibly the most awesome nerd thing I’ve seen so far this year. Incredible. I want one. I have nowhere to put it. I dread to even think of the cost. But fuck me is that cool.

I just wanted to get a rundown on what companies produce the best figs. I want to display them in my office, i need to get covers for them and need to know whats good with that as I need to be able to wipe everything down and keep it sterile as possible.

Dragon Ball Z, Street Fighter, KOF, Ninja turtles, Horror, Transformers, GI Joe ect ect most of the stuff I'm seeing on this thread. $10-30 a piece. maybe some retro Mego stuff. Is there a good website that has decent quality figures? wall hang able in protective blister packs that is able to be wiped down. I have a cold today and am feeling all sorts of floated so this may not sound right.

I purchase most of my stuff from BigBadToystore, they offer $4 flat rate shipping on almost everything.

Retro Mego -might want to look at NECA, they have a Mego series, they have some odd licenses like Bill and Ted, Weird Al, Home Alone. But they also have some Horror Stuff.

Horror-NECA is really the only doing anything worthwhile at your price point http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Search?SearchText=neca+horror they have the "Ultimate Series" for $25 or so your getting a highly detailed 7" figure with a slew of accessories, multiple head sculpts and hands to change it up. Jason, Freddy, Leatherface, Evil Dead, Predator, Aliens, Pennywise etc

Street Fighter/KoF - Storm Collectibles is the standard imo a little higher than your price point but great quality, they also have a KoF line coming out soon http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Searc...rder=PriceLowToHigh&SearchText=street fighter

Ninja Turtles- depends on the era, the NECA 1/4 scale Movie turtles are pretty much the standard when it comes to likeness. Neca also teased 7" TMNT cartoon Figures at toyFair this year. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Search?SearchText=NECA+turtles

Transformers & DBZ - I never collected either so I can't chime in on what's good.

I might sound like i'm a NECA fan boy but for the price point 19.99-24.99 you really can't go wrong. Of course there are much better items out there but then your looking at 1/6 scale figures like Hot Toys or Sideshow but your now in the $200+ price range which can be purchased at Sideshow toy and they offer payment plans :) https://www.sideshowtoy.com/ I hope that helps get you started.

If you're cool with going about 10-20 dollars out of your pricepoint the Bandai Figuarts line can't be beat for DBZ figs, if not Bandai America has recently gotten back into the figure game and is doing a line of DBZ figures that seem to be pretty well made (haven't been able to get my hands on any since I usually go for the figuarts, so can't speak to how the figure actually feels, but the sculpt and paint doesn't actively piss me off like most stuff marketed specifically for American consumption) Bandai has also done a figuarts Terry figure and Max Factory has done Kyo and Iori as part of their Figma line as far as KOF stuff goes, but again, those are a bit out of your price range. Bandai did some amazing figuarts TMNT figures of the main 4 in their 80's cartoon designs as well as a few Street Fighter figuarts'. Although now I read that you want them in blister packs, so if you aren't wanting to actually take them out of the box and pose them or anything then yeah, NECA is basically your best shot for most of these, apart from the Hasbro ones, Hasbro still does some good work, so they're your best bet.

No joke, I just saw a NECA fig in store the other day that was in pieces inside it's box, it looked like Weird Al had been decapitated, and apparently people commonly have issues with the figure breaking when taken out of the package, but yeah if you're just keeping them in the box to look at they tend to look pretty good.

I agree there are some quality control issues with NECA, I have purchased close to 30 alien/predator fig and luckily I only had one with Loose joints that wouldn't stand. Their customer service is pretty decent when requesting replacement parts that are defective

One of the reasons I tend to like them is because they come in sturdy cardboard boxes with plastic windows that can be easily opened and then closed, keeping the box in-tact and keeping it available if you decide to put the toy back in or store the extra parts, as such they aren't what I would consider "clamshells" and may not suit your needs, I'm sure you could find some pictures of the packaging online with a quick image search.

That's good to hear, I've just never forgiven them for the first figure I purchased from them at least ten years ago now. I'm glad to hear they've taken steps at at least taking care of you if your figure is defective.

That’s awesome. I don’t know about anyone else, but that’s the model of Batmobile that come to mind first when anyone mentions it.
