What I'm sure of is no one will include Last Hope / Fast Striker. They would need a double-height cart for that amount of memory. :lolz:

I've repaired one 38in1 multicart and it was terrible made. The chip legs were almost flooded on big balls of lead. :shame:

Does your cart save games being used on an AES with convertor?

Are there any reputable reviews out there, or some kind of comparison chart, that explain all the differences in the 1XX-in-1 carts? As well as the MVS vs. Jamma options? These things are too confusing for us older folks.

Well, I think that's what this thread is intended to be, but here's the highlights.

Only the 138 and 120 are blue, and are made by the same people (I believe), and the 138 has a jamma sub pcb which is to display the game list. All the other carts are standard yellow banana boats.

The yellow carts are essentially identical to all previous iterations except they progressively have more games. You hold start to return to the game list, but this only works on MVS boards, not home cart converters.

Here's the comparison chart, only updated through the 138, but the individual breakdowns can also be found in the original post of this thread:
http://me.tighelory.com/documents/G...MVS-Multi-Game-Cartridges_Variants_Merged.pdf

Here's the 161 game list from excellentcom.net, and the carts in blue are the new ones. All the others were on the 150-in-1:
http://www.excellentcom.net/ClientF...ame/Multi_Game_Cartridge_Version/161in1_E.pdf

If it counts as a review, I have the 161, and I love it so much I wanna rub my manparts on it. ;)

If there's anything else I can do for you, lemme know. You made my cab move a lot less stressful with your advice and assurances. I worry a lot. :multi_co:

Edit: here's a video of the 150 in action:

The multicart doesn't save high scores, only dip settings. And there's no dipswitch to be set for the most part in home mode (the Metal Slug series is an exception, but the dip settings are saved on a memory card in home mode and not on the multicart itself).

Cheers...

But the information is wrong - I have the 108 in 1 cart - menu shows up proper with the super converter II but if you chose a game-it crashes.

The only game I got up and running was Bomberman...

Did anyone really tried it out with a Neo Geo AES and "normal" Bios ?

I put it there cos it's hilarious bullshit (and most everyone knows it at this point). I have a multicart, and I don't plan on rebuying any of the games on there, and I don't feel the need to apologize or justify it to anyone. :)

I just picked up one of these in auction in a ss2 dedicated cab with unibios 2.3. seems to work ok. UNIBIOS picked up the ones I have tried and lets you do the hacks with them.

Samurai Shodown 2 dedicated 1 slot with 161 to 1

also got a 4 slot, which may part to improve the looks of some of the others. monitor is good but can use a recap to fix a bottom line stutter. at least it had a 4 slot in it with 4 games and matching marquess. (usally they put some bootleg in and replace the 4 slot with a old 1 slot).

Neo Geo 4 slot

total for both was $680

Phiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllll!!!! :D

Wassappening!?!?!? Long time no see bro!

Could you do me a favor? I meant to post about this in the thread anyway, but I noticed SS1 and SS2 seem to be glitchy on my multicart. SS2 is missing some of the instruments in the "The Future is Now" intro screen and when you fight Kyoshiro in SS1, he disappears every time he does his qcb+k move.

Could you test and see if it happens to you plz?

The multicarts are actually a safer alternative to changing carts around in a cab, especially if you got kids playing and you don't want them to mess with the mobo.

I only had about 15 mins this am (slept all day after I got off work yesterday) but the sound was ok for SS2. did not have enought time to go through the rounds for kyoshiro. But did get a unibios crash when I tried to enable the kuroko cheat, may crash when I try the other cheats as well but have not had time to test it yet (and probably won't :p). I will be able to test a few though to see. it does allow you to switch for region and type (console and arcade)

Thanks for checking. The Kyoshiro thing was in SS1 btw, in case I wasn't clear. The SS2 audio thing was pretty subtle. I did make a video comparison the other day:

It could be that the 161 uses some different roms than the 150, or maybe I just got a bad cart. I do know that I'll be keeping my original SS1 and SS2 MVS carts. I wonder if a bad chip could be the cause of the probs, but my knowledge in that area is very limited.

yeah I meant i did not have time in ss1 to battle kyoshiro, first fight in ss1 was with nak who beat me (I blame it on these cruddy sticks I need to replace).

In the 100-in-1, Aero Fighters 3 has glitchy enemy bullets that either don't move or does so only very slowly.

Oh awesome. We can be glitch buddies. Whenever one of us gets a glitch (and I hope you get none) we can have the other guy try and reproduce it. :lolz:

Congrats on your 1-slot! Which model did you get?
