It's a really fun game.
I've kept playing this game for the past two days.

I know it's simple, early 90's SNK game with not-so-impressive music, but I totally addict to this game.

It doesn't have impressive power-up or level bosses, but it does bring back a lot of my youth memory.

I really miss 16-bit era

Ghost Pilots is great, it's got a very "old school" feel to it. I think the graphics are excellent personally..

Too bad the US dogtag version has ass for art.

I was raving about this game a few weeks ago when I got my carton boxed version from ckchan.

Great game and one that brings me back to the simpler 16-bit days! I love shooters from that era and Ghost Pilots does not disappoint! :)

If anyone can actually do this, and prove it to me in person, I will buy that man (or woman) a keg of beer! The game's great but full of the same old school cheese factor for difficulty, so I can't see anyone making it through the entire game without one continue :p

I used to play GP in the arcade in early 90s. I didn't know the name of this game... I was so pleased to discover what I had was the same game which amused me for years...

Nice choice, Liquid Snake. :)

Wait til you get the full firepower by getting 7 power up. It is a blast.

I have the carton boxed version for GP and as well as for ASO2 & King of the Monsters. They will be always have a special place in my memory.

One thing makes me really mad is that the enemy plants will fly toward you like a magnet and do the suicide bombing .......

This reminds me of 1941 and Galaga ......

Well, what the heck, Ghost Pilots is a 16-bit shooter

I've never thought I will like this game.

I'm tired of those bullet-rain type shooters (Mars Matrix, Donpachi, Dodonpachi...etc) and I've read so many reviews talking bad about Ghost Pilots.

That's the reason I wait so long and finally give it a try.

I will give Ghost Pilots 85/100

The "NG.com Stupidass" was probably in his early 30s during the 16 Bit era, LOL. BTW, Ghost Polit is not rare either, so don't turn this thread into one, LOL.

You're a tool. Don't spam up his topic. He actually does have an interesting topic and something nice to talk about. What about you?

maybe some Japanese maniac can finish it on one credit, but to me the game seems impossible that way...

My biggest pet peeve about the game is that your shots powerup pretty slowly, so once you die and lose everything, you're pretty much screwed on the higher levels. So then it just becomes a continue-fest since it's difficult to stay alive for very long. I guess with unlimited continues the game is good for some mindless shooting fun, but it's so long and the enemies never really change much...

Pretty much my major issue with the game. You can easily get fully powered up in the first 10 minutes of the game and then the game is totally fun. You get the feeling that you're some badass and no one can stop you. But then it inevitably happens...you lose a plane and you're down to your standard 2 shot gun. About 90% of the game will be played that way as the higher levels are simply too hard without any powerups (the tanks and cannons need some major shots to die).

I still love the game, but the powerup system needed some variety.

Too true.

I don't really care about powerup but enemies in the later levels coming like heat-seeking missle and following your tail anywhere

Fortunately there is no bullet rain like Dodonpachi/Mars Matrix in Ghost Pilots.
