Like the header says.

For me, it would be:

Run 'N' Gun Shooter: Metal Slug 3
Shoot-'Em-Up: Pulstar
Platformer: Top Hunter
Side-Scrolling Beat-'Em-Up: Sengoku 1 or 2
Wrestling: King Of The Monsters (Hey, it seems more like a wrestling game than a fighter to me)
Racing: Thrash Rally or Riding Hero

Hmm, what other categories can we derive from the list of games for the Neo?

Duh, silly me. PUZZLE GAMES! Unfortunately, I cannot think of the name of the puzzle game that I want to list as my fav, I will have to go look it up.

Here is my list:

Action Shooting: Toss up between Metal Slug 1 & 3
Shooter: Aero Fighters 2
Platformer: Blue's Journey
Side Scroller: Sengoku
Wrestling: King of the Monsters (is there another such title on the system?)
Racing: Neo DriftOut: New Technology (can Stakes Winner count here?)
Puzzle: Pop 'n Bounce
Mah Jong: Minasan no Okagesamadesu
Quiz: Quiz King of Fighters or Maruko's Deluxe Quiz
Sports: hmmm... maybe Street Hoop... or NGC'98
(Action) RPG: Crossed Swords, if it can be considered one
Etc. Game: since they're NGCD-only, I have yet to lay them.
Explosive: Neo BomberMan (how does this classify??)

Maybe I should have waited a few days, since I got Top Hunter from NCS and have not done much with it yet, but I do really like it in any case.

Shoot'em up = Slug X

Shooter = Blazing Star (Pulstar is just frustrating having to back the game up whenever you die.)

Side Scroll = Sengoku 1 has better BGM (very ethnic and creepy) but I think Sengoku 2 is a better game.

Sports = I am REALLY enjoying Sidekicks 2, although I have notplayed the newer ones.

Wrestling = King of Monsters ( I think this game has some of the best sound effects on the Neo. Beetle Mania's roar sounds great and the body slams have a lot of weight behind them).

Platform = Hands down, Top Hunter. Spinmasters is VERY fun, but Top Hunter is just better realized IMO.

Puzzle = I haven't played too many of them but I do like Magical Drop 2

Crossed swords, being in it's own division wins by default, but it is also a game that I like very much.

Shooter: Blazing Star/Pulstar
Puzzle: Magical Drop 3
Sport: Wind Jammers (boring as a one player)

Well, when I said I was counting King Of The Monsters as a wrestling game, I was ranking it as such over the likes of 3 Count Bout.

See, I knew I would forget about some game. I damaged my Gravis in a bad way getting pissed at the cheesiness of that game on NRX one day, so I put 3CB's existence out of my mind.

Viewpoint is definitely a great game for the Neo. NAM-1975 has become an obsession of sorts for me as well. Those two would have to be my favorite non-fighting games for my Neo.

My favorite Neo non-fighter game has to be, King of Fighters 99.

Oh wait, you said non-fighter...
Well I mostly like fighters, but I guess my favorite non-fighter would have to be, Metal Slug.

Oh I almost forgot Samurai Shodown RPG. Well, it's on the CD and not the AES. Anyway, it's fun for what it is.

SS:RPG...How can you stand the loading? You don't take a nap or get a bite during the load times, do you? I have cdz, and the loading is unbearable--goodbye funfactor. Saturn version (or maybe Ps) is much more preferable.

The loading is not cool, but it's bearable, if you have reading material on hand. It's an experience that is worth playing through at least once on the Neo CD.
