I ask because I'm interested to see what people think! I figured, the only co-operative game I have on my neo is Metal Slug...the others are fighting games which require competitive play. So, I need at least another couple of co-op games for those moments when you don't feel like kicking the shit outta your mates...

2 players are often morethan useless in neo games. Just look at the beat-em all games or the MS serie.
but my Top 3 list would be:nam 75
last resort
MS3

I was gonna get Last Resort from vektor logic, but they dont have it in stock anymore <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[Crying]" />

Is it the best shooter for the neo? I heard Pulstar was pretty good, but I never played it...I'd LOVE to get Shock Troopers, but the price is a bit steep for me at the 'mo :(

Last Resort just has so much class, and it's very well done. I like it just as much if not better than pulstar. Its EXTREMELY HARD though, but can be mastered and you'll have fun doing it.

Robert has very good tastes in video games btw

Thanks guys! I'm looking into getting a few of these carts as I type...has anyone delt with Retro X before (http://members.aol.com/retrox2/index1.html)? Their prices seem a bit too cheap to be true, if you know what I mean...

I love the detail in Last Resort!!!.....how cool is it when you shoot the enemy ships and stuff and people fall out!?!?!?....you never see that in other side scrolling shooters!! ....I think its a pretty tough game!..but very good!! :)

I brought some Neo-Geo CD's from Retro X a while back, the service was friendly and fast, but the packaging was bad ):

The official SNK jewel cases, which were “Neo-Geo” embossed, were broken by the time I got them...

Also when I tried to buy a MVS cab off them that they had listed fairly cheaply - they said the pricing was a 'mistake'.

Hmm...shit, man! I've e-mailed him quoting the prices, so I'll see what happens. Thanks for the info...I'm just hainvg trouble finding ANYWHERE in the UK that sells MVS games at a decent price. That isn't ebay.

Huxley - have you asked Lee Gray about MVS? He's top dog in that department, I'm sure he'll know some good mvs suppliers. <img src="graemlins/eye.gif" border="0" alt="[Eye]" />

For 2players coop-action i like them:

Metal Slug III *unbelievable*
Nam75 *a old one, but amazing*
Crossed Swords *the same*
Last Resort

For 2players versus these:
MotW *still the BEST!!!* <img src="graemlins/drool2.gif" border="0" alt="[Drool 2]" />

I havent heard much on Aero Fighters 2...but it's one of the ones that I'm thinking of buying. Is it as good as/better than the sequel? And how would it compare to, say, Blazing Star?

Burning fight
King of the Monsters
3 Count Bout/Fire Suplex
Metal Slugs
Any shooter
Kizuna Encounter: Fu'un Super Tag Battle

Kizuna is great co-op 'cuz when you tag your partner, the 2nd player jumps in to play.
