Ok I picked up Metal slug 1 on MVS last week and heres my best record at the end of the game ,

Difficulty Level 1
6 lives
17 rescued

I've started on level 1 difficulty untill I beat it with 1 life ,then its on to level 4 , then 8 . So let me know your best records !! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Only 6 lives, great!
I have already finished the game but it was on the MVS level so we can't compare

Slug 1 is pretty easy (and short, to bad), but try Slug 3 on MVS difficulty ! that's another thing...

I got 1.48 million or so on Level-6. One life finish. I don't remember the hostage count
