Ok, so I was cruisin' through some threads and I saw the Rock Howard animation in ZeroMJ's sig. Now, as one of the unfortunate souls who has not had the opportunity to play MotW(though eagerly anticipating the DC port), I have not seen it in action. Every review I read makes mention of the extraordinary amount of animation put into each character. Often times, they compare it to the level in SF3: Thrid Strike.

My question is: is it really that good? Is the animation on par with SF3? Did SNK really cram in that many frames?

Honestly, frame rates of MOTW are not as high as SF3 3rd's, but its nearly there.
Also, the size of characters in MOTW is smaller compare to SF3 3rd, but game play is faster.

also the neo hardware that powers mark of thye wolves can not display the resolution and amount of color that the cps3(the board powering SF3) can, so that is one graphical short coming of mark of the wolves.

I really love Garou. It's a great game with very fluid animations, stunning graphics and very easy to play.
Definitely, one of my favourite games in the Neo <IMG SRC="smilies/drool2.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/drool.gif" border="0">

Hey, thanks for the replies. I found a site with a handful of character animations, and it really looks as good as I had hoped.

the game is fantastic and I'm surprised that programmers could reached such a level but is it true that the last capcom games are more impressive.

I've only played it on EMU, but I'm going to get it soon on MVS. It's a really really good game. The graphics are no where near Marvel vs. Capcom 2, or Guilty Gear X but it's still awesome. Even on emu it looks better than my AES KOF2k (which looks awesome in it's own right).

Peace

I hope they increase the size of the characters for the DC release.... that would be really nice.

They're supposedly doing a straight port to the DC with no graphical changes, but no loss in frames.

Guilty Gear X is very nice, but the animations are pretty limited. Still, playing that game through a VGA adapter is orgasmic.

True, but to "look back" into a NEARLY 7-YEAR OLD THREAD without adding a whole lot of pertinent info to the table might just be pushing it a little, don't you think?

You might want to try sticking to threads that are a little more recent.

I looked for a while and never found a decent priced US seller. Much easier to grab one from ebay UK and pay the extra shipping. The power supply only needs the cheap outlet converter, doesn't need a voltage converter.

Also, POD is a really good retro shmup for Gizmondo. :)

if the next bump isn't a hermegildo-esque comparison between Mark and 3 a la Last Blade and Guilty Gear...
