Someone just messaged me that I better make sure my “AR is ready” and that a group of 270 Black Lives Matter members were in town and that they had been going “door to door” in neighborhoods in Reno earlier in the week.
I guess I’m part of the problem when I only reply “lol” and offer practical advice such as lock your door.
I think on this persons part it’s a fear based response. These riots are scary. But I can’t help but feel the fear a lot of people are having is making them oblivious to the reason the actual protestors came out in the first place.
There is no doubt the most dangerous gang in America is the Police. Been saying it for years, though I’ve had the luxury of knowing that If I didn’t resist arrest (if I ever was arrested) that I’d be fine. I guess that’s privilege. I’m sounding like Lonesage at this point, heart on my sleeve.
FML.
Anyone else seeing different behavior from people they thought they knew?
Edit: the Ar has been ready, but in true tin-foil fashion, it’s ready for the alphabet boys
Maybe tonight I’ll read Technological Slavery while the world burns.
