Alas, the day has come. My AES is in the shipping position with AOF2. I had wanted a Neo Geo system eversince I saw that new game "Samurai Showdown" I was quite sceptic at the time....in 1993. I popped some money into that wonderful AES and was blown away. I visited that little shop with the MVS everyday after school. After seeing such goodies like SS2, SS3, and playing that ever so heavenly Metal Slug at my uncle's, I was hooked. And early last year, I got my Neo Geo Pocket. Its life with me was short lived because this year I sold it. And mid last year... I got my first "real" Neo Geo system. As I slipped the huge system out of the UPS box, I then put in SS3. Then MS2, then SS4 (now sold) then LB2 (now sold) then RBFF2, then at last, KOF 98 (for sale. See Selling forum- MS2 for sale also!!) I played non stop. And I never aquired another game except SS1 to this date. Those 6 (now 5) games kept me going for the longest time.

And I just wanted to say, the Neo Geo CD is one of the greatest systems ever. I thank it for keeping me sane before I got my AES. I got a lot of play out of it. And like Ghost-Dog's post, I'd like to ask, who else used this jem for the longest time, and still love it even though they might have an AES or an MVS cabinet. Thank you NGCD. Long live your name.

I dont want people to say "Relax- its just a system" Because I know some people feel the same way.

Hey:

With the exception of the Pocket, the Neo CD is the only piece of SNK hardware I currently own (although buying an AES isn't long off), and yeah the load times can suck, but I'm just going to say it: the Dreamcast and the Neo CD are the two best consoles I've ever owned, and I have had many. I'm sure my CD will gather dust once I get an AES, but for now, my NGCD gets mad play.

By the way ZeroMJ, I told you I'd tell you how Double Dragon on CD was once I got it, and it rawks. Long live Technos.

I love the CD System (I actually have a CDZ system). I have both an AES and a MVS System, but I still play the cD system. I love Twinkle Star Sprites, RBFF's, Sonic Wings 2. They all have great remixed soundtracks, and the music sounds better coming from a CD. If you can deal with the load times, then it is a great system <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

Yeah, I love my Neo Geo CD system! Today I've received my AES system, but my Neo Geo CD is my primary system as long as I will use the AES only for the games never released on the CD (Garou, MS3, Blazing Star) or the games that load too much.

HELL YES!!! This is the real shit. I play my SS games so much they skip. But when the AES comes, I unna rig up some wiring and make it so the two can always be hooked up together. I am gonna get everygame I own on CD for AES because they are better (no offense NGCD) except the music. And another thing!!! I love how you can burn the Music off of the CDs! I have MS2, SS3, and SS. KEEP POSTING!! Peace out all.

-PS-rerelease must happen... cant wait to get my MS3... so excited.. gonna cry.. so magical... oh yeah.. awsome...:sniffle:

I love music from Metal Slug 1&2 CDs.
I hate pirate but I burn backup copies of those two just for music CD use.

I use regular CD burner software and make one for each. Now I listen to MS 1&2 music everyday.

For odd reason I can't burn SS3.....hmmm

I had my doubts about the Neo CD, but after I got a CDZ and a copy of Art of Fighting 3, I was hooked.

The load times dont seem so bad, and I would rather pay 60 dollers and have some loading, than 500 dollers and have none. Although I do own two cart systems, I love having the choice now of getting either a cheaper CD or if I have the cash(which is a rare thing these days), the expensive cart version of a game.

Thanks NEO CD!!!

Another hardcore Neo CD supporter here. I like the more affordable prices, the awesome music (which I also listen to every day), and the exclusive releases.

Neo CD is awesome if you are on a budget and can't afford big bucks for a particular game. The CD's are compact and easy to store, while still having great cover art and manuals.

It really allows you to have the Neo experience with a lower price tag, so it's also really good for Neo newbies too.

Neo CD has a lot to offer, if you can put up with the long load times. I actually don't mind them too much, although some games are worse than others.

And as for the exclusive games that aren't on CD... you can now get Metal Slug X on PSX, and soon MOTW on import DC.

Neo CD kicks ass! Now I just need a CDZ...

I have also told MiniGenjuro that he is a homosexual, many, many times.

He tried to rape my cat.

What a homosexual boy.
