Alas, the day has come. My AES is in the shipping position with AOF2. I had wanted a Neo Geo system eversince I saw that new game "Samurai Showdown" I was quite sceptic at the time....in 1993. I popped some money into that wonderful AES and was blown away. I visited that little shop with the MVS everyday after school. After seeing such goodies like SS2, SS3, and playing that ever so heavenly Metal Slug at my uncle's, I was hooked. And early last year, I got my Neo Geo Pocket. Its life with me was short lived because this year I sold it. And mid last year... I got my first "real" Neo Geo system. As I slipped the huge system out of the UPS box, I then put in SS3. Then MS2, then SS4 (now sold) then LB2 (now sold) then RBFF2, then at last, KOF 98 (for sale. See Selling forum- MS2 for sale also!!) I played non stop. And I never aquired another game except SS1 to this date. Those 6 (now 5) games kept me going for the longest time.
And I just wanted to say, the Neo Geo CD is one of the greatest systems ever. I thank it for keeping me sane before I got my AES. I got a lot of play out of it. And like Ghost-Dog's post, I'd like to ask, who else used this jem for the longest time, and still love it even though they might have an AES or an MVS cabinet. Thank you NGCD. Long live your name.
I dont want people to say "Relax- its just a system" Because I know some people feel the same way.
