I like leaving Twitch on in the background or when I’m doing other stuff. Timthetatman, Kripp, Maximilliandood are good. If you like pinball Deadflip is worth checking out.

I watch fighting game tournaments on Twitch and occasionally will watch replays of people doing speedruns but yeah, watching someone else play a video game in real time seems like a gigantic waste of time. Plus most of the "personalities" of Twitch and Youtube come across as colossal, self-important douchenozzles.

The titty streamers are amazing though. Not to watch, mind you. If I wanted to see an attractive woman wear low-cut tops and shake their ass to bad music, I'd just go out on a Saturday night. At least then I'd get watered-down drinks for my money. They're more amazing that they exist when actual pornography is widely available on the internet for free.

I like to keep an eye on Max to see if he streams something I can jump on and play the fanboys trying to get a game in w/ him. Other then that usually tourneys.

When I did watch a bunch years ago it reminded me of hanging out w/ ex roommates. A lot of the people on there just wanted to hang out w/ people. Now it's all about trying to make the almighty dollar. It really turned me off to twitch.

I've streamed on YT a couple of times recently, and that's generally the feedback I get from the viewers. They're just looking to hang out and watch/talk games, just like the old days. I don't know anyone in the real world who wants to talk about the Genesis, but I can load up Streets of Rage 2 and stream it on YT and I've got plenty of people to talk to about it. I'm guessing that some of you who are anti-streamer probably have gamers to hang out with. Some of us don't.

I do enjoy watching a video of a someone playing a game I know very well, but the guy in the video is on a whole different level. I usually see this on Youtube though and not Twitch.

The Punch Out games may be my favorite. I'm good at them, but some of these guys are crazy, taking down boxers in just a few seconds.

This exactly. I'm fairly decent (or was, not played in a bit) at og Tetris. But watching something like the Tetris world championships finals is fun for me as I can appreciate that insane level of skill. I really should try and catch the finals live at some point as they hold it at PRGE erry year. But somehow I've always found myself doing something else when they're running the finals all of the times I've been to PRGE.

I've also enjoyed watching one of Quan's friends play Street Fighter. No idea if he ever streams his gameplay as I've watched him play in person at PRGE in the arcade. But damn, that guy plays SF like no one I've ever seen. Watched him play dozens of people and he toyed with them and had complete control of errythang at all times. And he'd do it in a way that they usually didn't realize they were being trolled since he could pull off anything he wanted at any time. If he wanted it to look close, that's how it'd go. If he didn't want you to even touch him, you'd never land a move on him. However he felt like the match needed to go is exactly how it'd go. It's srsly the most impressive game playing I've ever seen in person, by far. One of the days there after he'd gotten over 50 wins in a row no one would play him anymore as they all got whooped so bad they knew there was no chance.

None. I used to watch QW/Q3 tournaments online back in the day but this was in the QTV/GTV era.

Me being a live streamer, I will watch others just to see how they maintain their popularity. I usually follow IRL streamers that actually get off of the chair and do something (Basscornbread, EXBC, Cjayride, Jakenbakelive).

The only game streamers I follow are Harveymccloud, Calebhart42, directorofawesome, LordBBH, and Ladyliayad.

I mostly watch leveluplive WNF (Wednesday night fights) for SFV tournaments every week and of course when the big Capcom SFV tournaments are on, I tune in. Also love watching Zoasty do speed runs of Super Metroid.

Found a channel that just shows game center cx reruns 24 hours a day called: gccxstream

Been getting some good laughs out of: AvoidingThePuddle as long as he isnt playing tekken, guy was playing dark souls today and had me laughing pretty good, his interactions with chat may be the best Ive seen

Thanks to you guys for pointing out macaw45 and lordBBH, dont know why I hadnt looked for BBH's channel sooner

Anyone else out there do retro games specifically and not exclusively speed runs?

Also Im curious about kripp since so many here recommended him, havent seen him on or maybe thats not the channel name?
