I include all 3 types here, since you would likely find each of these types in the arcade (fighting games already done). Especially since a "BEST Shooter" poll will be a land slide. Rockman is not really a fighter like a Last Blade or MotM, so it's in here as well. It was also actually a popular arcade game

Next poll will likely be "Simulation" games, probably including casino, but we'll see

I wish I could vote here, but I haven't played Rockman or MS2ndMission :(

Of the others that I have played though, I would probably go Sonic then MS1stMission then Cotton then Pacman and finally Crush Roller ;)

Metal Slug 2, FAR and away.

Game is incredibily deep.

even has tons of voices in it and still suffers little slowdown....

Well personal preference I went with MS2nd. SPA has tons of extras and might be a more complete game. Pac-Man could be so much better if it just saved high scores :( Cotton sucked from my emu play.

MS2nd is so much better than 1st that I don't see how first will ever get a single vote :D

I voted for MS 2nd Mission...
The game is great.
The replay value may not be high, but to me it got increased by the fact I've been playing in Time Attack mode for a while... To beat my own scores and other people's scores too.

Everyone who has this game knows how to enable blood in it ? :p
Some of you must do, but for those who don't, just set your console to Japanese language and here you go... Bloooooood ! :smirk:

This one is too hard. I love Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure, Cotton, Metal Slug 2nd Mission equally, Metal Slug 1st Mission is good too though it loses out to sequel, (God I hope so, since sequels need to top their predecessors). I'll mull over it and vote later.

Metal Slug 2nd.

I loved the first Metal Slug on NGPC but after playing 2nd it is hard to go back.

Sonic is also great on the NGPC also. especially considering it is the only "platformer" in the traditional sense. :(

Although I love Rockman, my vote goes for Metal Slug 2nd.
It's just as good as long. A piece of art.

Sonic was fun but Metal Slug 1st and 2nd Mission my favorites on the list. Pacman, Crush Roller, wher good but dated and I dont like cotton at all. I don't own Rockman but I have played the arcade version.

Yeah...exactly that. I could never figure why they didn't include the option to save high scores on Pac-Man. Cheap ass conversion, maybe?

I will vote for Sonic, it was really the best Sonic on handeheld, I think it's better then the GBA-versions. To make a list:

1 Sonic
2 Metal Slug 2nd Mission
3 Rockman
4 Cotton
5 Crush Roller
6 Metal Slug 1st Mission
7 Pac-Man (would be 5 if it could save the highscore)

2nd Mission rocks. It's also cool to hear so much of the music of X and 3 remixed to work with the pocket hardware. But it definitely has a lot of replay value. Parts of it are modeled a bit like the extras thrown in the Playstation port of Metal Slug X, like the whole Training Camp bit. Though you are limited to Time Attack stuff outside the main game, there's no special hidden level scenarios. However, the branching paths of 2nd Mission add a lot of replay to the title, with some levels being kind of tricky to get to. The hostage rescue idea also works out nice and you can view the hostages to get messages from them. They may let you know how many hostages are on a level in total, give you hints as to where you might find more, reveal a clue for hidden stuff. Not all hostages will. Some will just thank you. You raise in rank with rescues and such and you can see that reflected when you go back to the training camp (which keeps track of your progress).

I only have 1 2nd Mission, though. However, I think I know a place that can help you out with NGPC games. Including 2nd Mission.

Prices seem decent here. However, none of the real rare titles, though.

Fortunately, you have it easy with Sonic. Mainly since that was redistributed to the states in the 4-pack for NGPC(what I call, the best 4-pack portable game collection money can buy). Every EB should have a copy. Or if you just want the cart by itself with no other packaging but the clamshell itself, NCS sells it for only 6 bucks. The only somewhat expensive NGPC cart they have in stock is Super Real Mahjong, special edition

Metal Slug: 2nd Mission gets my vote. Sonic a close second.

Pacman was a terrible conversion. I mean how difficult could it have been to make a decent version?
