Okay, here we go, everyone who has this game PLEASE pile in where you can, this is a good game, too good to not have a FAQ. I'm gonna start with the basics, correct me if I'm wrong:

B(HOLD)- move forward
A(HOLD) - move back
B,B - dash forward
A,A - dash back
AB (hold) - block

Forward (quick)to neutral = jab to middle
Up/Forward (quick)to neutral = high hit
Down/Forward (quick)to neutral = low hit (kick)
Back, Forward = spin move/spin kick

B(HOLD)+Forward, Forward to lock (grab), Back, Forward = throw (opponent must be in proper position)

Forward, back = counter attack (must be timed right with opponent strike)

??????? = Grapple moves

WHAT I KNOW OF TENDO GAI (great fighter)

Back, Forward = spin kick

Back (hold), Forward = spinning fist

Forward, Forward = jab followed by HARD hit

Up, Up/Forward = knee to body

Down, Down/Forward = trip

uf+B = high kick

(close) uf = grab opponents head, can follow with:

joystick 360X3 = roll slam to mat

B X 2 +Forward = flip assault (land on opponent)

B (HOLD) + Forward, Forward (when close) = 1,2 kick

AB (hold together) + down = lay down/fake out
follow with Up/Forward = HARD uppercut

d,u, uf = wicked flip kick

(with opponent on mat, feet towards you) move in with B, Down to lock legs, then Back (hold) = leg breaker (to lengthen attack, move stick to neutral, then Back using right rythem)

Use above same process for neck breaker when opponent is on back w/head towards you

Down/Back = dodge/fake

I have the original HTML faq from SNK Japans page, I site sucked the whole thing, images and all. I'm going to upload this today, perhaps someone can translate the Japanese.

Also if you wait for the "How to play" screen when Buriki is running, it shows you how to do the throws and grapples.

Haven't seen any updates, so I'll just keep the ball rolling... I only played for 30 min last night though.

Ryo Sakazaki
B,f,f,f HienShippuuKyaku
db,uf Koho

His sweep is the same as Gai, that is probably a standard move. He has a nice looking standing roundhouse, but I haven't figured out what motion that is.

This is a tough endeavor. I wonder if you'll be able to get past Takato. :) He's my favorite character, but it took me forever to get decent with him.

Shouldn't be that hard if just a few ppl post a few moves a day. Trying to do this all at once could be dangerous to your health. <img src="graemlins/shame.gif" border="0" alt="[Shame]" />

More Ryo moves:
uf,uf - high kick, roundhouse
p,uf - punch, high kick
df,df - low kick, low strong kick
f,f,df - 2 punches, low strong kick
ub,f - counter???
quick b,f - body blow
hold b,f - body blow, knockdown
quick d,f - weak sweep, no knockdown
hold d,f - sweep
quick u,f - looks like an overhead

!!! hold u,f,uf,f,df,... - long combo... there is probably more, for some reason, I keep missing f to uf, maybe there is a trick there

Also, I should probably mention that I am capitalizing buttons and lower-casing (new verb) stick motions, so b is back. And the buttons only apply to the left side player, they are reversed for the right side.

The full combo is (Hold)U-F-UF-F-F-DF-UF-UF-F. I've had it done on me several times by the computer and it rapes your energy bar bigtime! :D

You have to hold the first move for about 1 sec then after that you just gotta be fast as f*ck to get the rest of the moves in. I can get the first 5..never anymore than that though <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[Crying]" />

Cool, thx for the tip. Hopefully I'll get some more Buriki in next week, I've been playing too much '98 lately.

Wow!
This game's really growing on me! It has a lot of "How did I do that?" moves. When I got my system, it came with a mini poster of some of the moves. It is in NO WAY A COMPLETE LIST, but it has a few things that might help you out. Here goes:

Gai-

(Near) uf, bk, u

df("Keep Position"?), bk

Gaurd + dn, uf

Python-

uf, df, uf

ub, df, uf

db, uf, df

Yong-Song-

f, df, uf

u, f, f

bk, f, uf

Akatsuki-Maru-

ub, f, uf

bk, f, f

db, f, df

Takato-

uf, f, bk

f, uf, bk

f, df, bk

df, f, bk

Payak-

df, df

bk (Briefly) f ("Keep Position" again, I guess that means hold), f

d, uf, f

Song-

f, df, uf

Gaurd + bk, f, f

Ducalis-

f, bk (hold), d, u

f (hold) bk (hold), d, u

Heyting-

df (hold), f (hold), u, f, f

Sokolov-

uf, d, d (hold), u, u

ub, f, uf, d, bk

Ryo-

f, f, uf

f, f, df

u (hold), f, uf, f, f, df, uf, uf, f

Well, that's it, the "Official SNK Vague-as-Fuck Moves list" I also have the "All About SNK" book, which has the JPN moves list and it is identical. We all know each char has many more moves, but I just thought I'd share. Hope it helps. If anyone actually does make a FAQ page, I have quite a bit of Buriki artwork I'd love to contribute, if I can ever get to a scanner ;)

Take care,

AOF

More Buriki One!!!

Seo Yong-Song
(seems like a pretty simple char)

from above:
f,df,uf - 3-hit combo
u,f,f - 2 jumping roundhouses
b,f,uf - dodge, counterattack

then:
db,uf - roundhouse
ub,uf,df - high kick, roundhouse
d,df - sweep
B,f - jump kick
long uf - high kick (doesn't work if uf is quick)

You should check your personal messages, I sent you a ton of info on this months ago, and it still says it's unread.

Alright... this project pretty much died while we waited for the "ton of info" to materialize. Either Drift King EX didn't send it or gargoyle7 didn't post it, I don't know which and I don't care at this point. <img src="graemlins/angry.gif" border="0" alt="[Angry]" />

Only thing to do is to start this thread back up again! Don't know if anyone else is playing Buriki, but I'll try to play it at least once a week myself, and I can even whip up a FAQ once it looks like everything has been found. But whoever writes it, all posters of game moves / info IN THIS THREAD ONLY that previously did not appear in this thread need to get credited. <img src="graemlins/shame.gif" border="0" alt="[Shame]" />

Edit: ...meaning that, if your uncle in Japan knows all the moves, I don't give a rat's ass, unless, of course, he posts them here. ;)

wow I really like this game too. I don't own it but I know this real scary guy who lives in his basement and is unemployed who does. Were gonna try to make a FAQ when I get back in town over winter break.

Introduction says it all... only started this today, spent about 2 hours on it. I'm going out now, will work on it some more tommorow prolly.

0.3 - actually pretty usable now. Gai, Ryo, Payak and Yong-Song covered to a decent extent. Some info on Heyting.

0.4 - huge amounts of Gai now, I've found a whole load more grapple moves and also worked out how to perform his counter. He's got some really nice grapples which can be extended one on the floor, like his take-down to leg breaker. I've also made some more layout and legend tweaks, and rewritten the intro now the FAQ is slightly more respectable.

If any contributors want to let me know their real name and/or an e-mail address, I'll add it to the FAQ. You don't have to of course, remain anonymous if you prefer ;)

Phew. That's enough for today methinks.
