Any one here got all the things listed in the Subjuct header with a 1 SLOT? If so can you test for me if the Paddle works correctly with the game or do all buttons stop responding once the paddle is enabled? Of course this is with a UNIVERSE BIOS v1.2 installed

Sorry, what's a paddle? I don't have Pop'n'Bounce but I have a friend who does, I might borrow it. The only problem is that I don't have unibios 1.2 yet, I need to upgrade but I was waiting for 1.3. I have a 1-slot, MV1A.

As afar as I know the "paddle" controller for Pop N Bounce is the trackball set-up for Irritating Maze ie: use a Pop N Bounce cart in an IM set-up.

Are you sure about this? I ask because there is a paddle option in the soft dips. By paddle I mean like the breakout type controllers on the Atari 2600.

Considering a paddle/spinner is an optical device, how else would you interface it with an MVS board other than with the trackball interface (of which it would use the x-axis only)?

No, it is different. Both the actual hardware and the way it's read are different. You can't play pop'n bounce on an irritating maze setup.

Actually there are two spinners, one for each player. And yes, they are analog devices, but the interace pop'n bounce uses to read them is different from irritating maze, so you still cannot use an irritating maze setup with it.

Do you have one of these? PICS PLEASE :)
as far as I remember, there wasnt a paddle made for this. Maybe only a prototype? But nothing i recall seeing pics or anything for, I think many folks just assumed that it was used with the Irritating Maze setup. More info would be greatly appreciated, pop n bounce is fun, but it would be that much better with a paddle :buttrock:

No, unfortunately I don't, I've never seen one either. I did emulate the paddle controls, and the game has complete support for paddles, including extra graphics during the demonstration section. And yes, the game is much, much better usign a paddle (or a mouse).

Odd, I don't see any How to Play in Pop n Bounce.... But, I could have sworn I've seen one before... this is too odd, and I don't see an option to configure Instruction on/off.
