This thread is great. I ran our booth at Steel City Con this weekend, it's the only action figure/comic-centric con that I do. This is the first year I didn't purchase anything. It just wasn't there for me this year, and I didn't want to buy something just to add it to the pile. As it is, I don't even know what to do with the rest I accumulated the past 10+ years.

That MJ is awesome--and I'm not even a fan of MJ or basketball

WTF 30th Metroplex for $10. I'll pay you $20 for it.

Those were some of the worst TF toys back when...stiff as a board and zero fun to play with (actually...G1 TF toys really weren't fun to play with at all now that I think of it)...

Yes I cam to this realisation just recently... that most of the original toys are really bad. Many many bricks.

I went to Goodwill today. Saw this big Transformers box across the store. It was the 2ft tall 30th Anniversary TF Generations Metroplex. The box was opened and re-taped and it had a cut on the front. Was only $9.99. Figured I'd take a chance. Got home, opened it and it's still freaking new in the box!

Great find. I paid full price for that figure and still felt like I got a good value. It's amazing.

Found out there's one piece missing from my Metroplex. Scamper's gun. He's suppose to have a little red gun that he can hold or goes on top of him in car form. I didn't see it anywhere in the box. Oh well. It was still a crazy deal.

Wanted the young Joseph for quite some time.

Also they actually made action figures based on the Super Mario Bros. movie. 20k yen in Nakano if anybody's interested :keke:

Awesome! About what do these JJBA figures sell for in Japan, if you don't mind me asking? Are they very expensive?

Also - that Jumpstarter Twin Twist Transformer - totally remember that from when I was a kid. It might be in my parent's attic somewhere

More or less the same as Figmas. Special verisons go for quite a bit more (Wonfes young Joseph was twice as much for example)

Me, too. Do they have Caesar and Lisa Lisa, too?

I think I saw a Ceasar in Mandarake Akihabara. They also had a Kars. Doesn't look like Lisa Lisa got a figure yet.
Jonathan is getting a release this month.

Is that a mistake? Gotta be worth something.

It is a mistake but it isn't worth much. Value is the same on each.... $10-20. The reason is because the Jumpstarters were overproduced, so it isn't really clear how rare the error box is. I would consider it uncommon but not necessarily rare, only because it is only known to "hardcore" collectors. Unlike "retro" video games or amiibos, printing/manufacturing errors do not bring a premium to Transformers.

The KO behind the box on the left is worth 10x+ what either of those are.

Damn that Metroplex deal, awesome! Goodwill is 100% garbage for me every time I go, not to mention the smell and depression that comes along with the visit.

well goodwill is absolute shit in stores since they put all the semi good stuff on their online auction site ...and employees of course steal all the good.

Sometimes you can find some cool old electronics there. That's where I got my CD changer! But its rare to find anything all that good.

How many exist?

Theres alot more than once though, over 30 have been graded plus theres quite a few ungraded ones about, the weapon is alot harder to find than the figure with most being graded without the weapon.
