I've got my cab working now with a functioning power supply. It's pretty great. The dreamcast looks great, and now I want to try a PCB. I hooked it up after totally disconnecting the dreamcast using the jamma harness. I know the monitor needs to be set to 15 kHz (running Captain America PCB). How do I do this? I know there are the small switches under the control panel. I adjusted those to the 15 kHz setting, but I'm still not getting anywhere. I get a scrambled screen with sound. Any idea how I might be able to fix this? I checked my chassis and it looks like I'm running a 2930, but I have the switches.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank!

Johnny the 2930 is the manual sync chassis, you have to adjust the dips under the control panel.

This is a zoomed in view of the original adjustment sticker, note 15khz simply requires dip #2 to be in the up position (dip #1 can be up or down).

I've got an update on the 360 vga black screen cutout. Previously I was only getting this with my 360 VGA cable. The Dreamcast VGA cable never had any issues. I recently purchased a Hanzo VGA box for the DC, the thing is cool, I love the scanlines, however when I tried to setup my DC to blast with it, I started getting the black screen cutout again. I didn't have a chance to test it with the extron, I just switched back to my old beat up VGA cable.

so the Hanzo will need a (forgot what they are called, those extron boxes) to run in VGA on a Blast.

Just picked up my second blast city! Exciting times over here.

On that note, does anyone know where I could find the coin chute / bracket thingy that holds a coin mech? One of my blasts has nothing attached to the coin mech door, so I can't stick my coin mech in there. I can't find any information on it (probably because I don't know what it's called), so I don't know if that's blast city specific or not.

FYI, the fan in the PSU is not the typical 80m one you have in your PC. if you're going to replace it, you'll need one that's low amperage and quiet.

I used these.

thanks for that, is it plug and play or de-solder, solder?

heres sort of before
When I got it, it had a single player blast panel, that was pretty rusted underneath, the top is in great shape though..

and all cleaned!

Also, I flipped a dipswitch which apparently changed the resolution and made my monitor look amazing, last night I thought I had flyback issues and I do not! I am beyond happy.

I ordered new buttons and balltops, Sanwa white for player one and dark blue for player two. I might swap the plungers and rims idk yet.

Hi all!!

I recently replaced my blast city power supply fan. Direct plug and play. No splicing needed. It took about 10 mins.

I can't take credit for this... I actually saw this posted a while back, but can't find the original post.
(and don't hold me responsible if your blast city blows up.... mine's been working fine after the fan replacement)
;)

I got mine from the group buy also. I was wondering what type of paint I should buy for my cab to touch it up?

White enamel from Tamiya works good, you can find it at any decent hobby store, i.e. not michaels.

Got mine in the recent group buy. I put some pics there. I need a player two loom and speakers. The left speaker assembly is really messed up. The right speaker assembly looks a bit messed up (I shined a flashlight through the grill) but sounds ok.

Anybody know where to get replacement speakers? An exact drop-in would be awesome, but we'll see what happens.

I'm in da club. Couple questions: can anyone link me to the non-Bass Fishing Blast manual? Are all the cabs stereo-capable regardless of PSU? I PM'ed FrancoB and Lemony, but is there anyone else that sells control panel looms? I need everything except ground.
