I've read you can attack some of the last boss' projectiles so that you can maintain your cover? Anyone confirm this.

I followed a strategy similar to what Spoon said above when I fought the Ancient Dragon. Just got all high level melee type characters and beat the crap out of him. I was a Dwarf so my insane defense helped. In the end I was the only one left standing. The Dwarf AoE attack is epic.

So, I just hit level 70 on my sorceress, finished all the side-quests and I'm clocking in at about 50hrs playtime. I'm not sure that I will be levelling all the characters to 99 - ain't nobody got time for that. But I will at least finish normal mode with each character to get the trophies and artwork.

I think I'll level out the Elf, and maybe a melee class after I'm done with the sorceress.

I finished the 3rd floor on the Labyrinth of Chaos, but couldn't go any further on hardmode. I've yet to delve into it on inferno. I've been reading that it's the best way to get xp at higher levels.

I did drop the difficulty back down to normal to do all the solo boss quests. Even though it scales your equipment back to level 35 they were all a breeze. The only one I had trouble with was the rabbit because of that stupid one-shot kill it does. Although the x-ray of your skull shattering is pretty neat when it pulls off this attack.

Also, the quest called "Living Fossil" took me ages to figure out. Without giving too much away, there is an extra section if you deliberatly don't kill the Kraken and let the fight just time out.

I'm pretty addicted to this game. One of the best, if not the best, games of the current generation.

Tried the labyrinth last night, finished the first floor and received the finest treasure to behold:

This game is priceless.

In hard difficulty is there a good source of exp? I'm level 53 and the wizard barely puts a dent in most path B bosses.

Hard mode becomes a grind at mid-to-late 50s. I ran a bunch of path A dungeons, but even still, at low 60s 2-3 B path runs would only net me like 2/3rds of a level. It's so nice when you first hit inferno and go back to getting 2-3 levels for the same effort.

Pray to Althena for +1 lives, get your 3 toughest* CPU allies (if offline), get any items (like heal rings) that increase the longevity of your party, don't bother with magical scrolls.

*Make sure your allies are melee and highest level....preferably dwarves for their huge AOE weapon slams and big damage, maybe fighters for their aerial combos and high defence...definitely not Amazon...with no defence there is little to no possibility of comboing and unlocking her true strength, and the frail magic users....same deal.
Using amazon i get close to defeating to the ancient dragon but then i run out of lives.

The ancient dragon in Hard mode....jesus Christ....is there no way to beat his ass with a firegate wizard build? I already wasted my respec potion to take back all those points I wasted on that shitty golem spell...

Unless I can get set up online with some badass partners I'm pretty much fucked in the ass over here....sure, I could level up to 65 but I can't see that shit helping so much.
The fact that he keeps healing pisses me off to no end as well! Mother. Fucker.

I couldn't beat him until I was level 65. My problem was damage vs. attrition. I couldn't quite do enough damage before he killed my npc's. At level 65, I had only 1 live left, and 1 npc, who was almost dead. I'm not looking forward to inferno. It's been really hard to get games going with people from my friends list. I think I've only played one game with a friend.

I'm about to complete my first playthrough. Got all the talismans and hit the first level cap. Just need to fight the last boss now.

I just beat normal mode and all normal mode side quests with the elf. I almost beat the ancient dragon solo. That's what she said. I'm confused about hard mode. Do you just go through B paths again to get the new talismans?

He'll be easier when you use the Dwarf. I steamrolled his ass on hard with a lvl49.

?! How the fuck....where did you allocate your skill points and what attacks did you use on the dragon?

I allocated most of my points to Rock Skin, Frenzy, Power Smash, Barehanded attacks and bird dive. When you fight the Dragon just sit underneath him, pump yourself up for rockskin, do a power smash.. then bird dive him until your weapon becomes available again. Be sure to attack him as you jump up as well. Rinse repeat. Bring some sorcerer/wizards with you as well. I noticed that the dragon will hesitate to attack when he's getting spammed with tornadoes. When he hesitates you can smash, bird dive and then frenzy on him when his head gets close to the ground.

Ah....thanks for the pointers.

Just solo'd the ancient dragon on hard difficulty with that friggin weak ass lvl 63 wizard. Felt pretty great.

They are some pretty cheap SOBs in inferno difficulty but with 36 more levels to go, I think it'll be manageable. The blessings you get from Jula are awesome as well (and the statue is dressed a lot more sluttier than Althena! :buttrock:).

Has anyone maxed out a character yet? I'm at level 94, and it's a bitch to level up. I killed the inferno Ancient Dragon at level 93 and only got half a level. The full Labyrinth of Chaos opens up after that. So I'm hoping I can get the rest of the levels in there, as I'm getting pretty tired of doing 2 circuits of B paths, only to get 1 level.

There is simply no way I'd ever max out all characters to level 99. I'm going to play as the elf next, but I think I'll stop after I beat the first Ancient Dragon.

I did get a legendary trinket from burying some bones the other day, the "Seal of the Conqueror". Its description reads - "This is a legendary trinket that enhances various combat skills the deeper you venture in the Labyrinth of Chaos. This item must be set in your Bag. Only valid for Infernal difficulty."

I haven't used it yet, so I'm not sure how good it is.

Half a level? That can't be right....I'm lvl 70ish and I'm pretty sure I can still get a full level up from killing the lvl88 Chimera.

I went from 2/3rd of the way through level 93 to a quarter of the way through level 94. The amount of xp you get in the 90s is seriously reduced. I can just get about 1 level from running all 9 B paths.

Killing one B path boss will only net you roughly just under a 5th of a level in the 90s.

I just pulled off the 5,000,000 points in one adventure while going solo on hard mode, which conveniently got my fighter up to 64, just 1,000 exp short of 65. So I'll probably get that last level and beat hard mode, moving on to pro territory.

This game has taken many, many, many more hours out of me than I anticipated.

So I had heard that the new TMNT game was out today on XBLA so I went for the demo. My god what a clusterfuck. They tried to make the game play like the Rocksteady Batman games and it's horrible. The camera is way too close to your character and when you do get into the actual combat it's SLOW and clunky. While Dragons Crown does everything right this new TMNT fails. Why can't they make my dream game? I just want the SNES version of Turtles in Time with 4 player co-op! Is that so hard?

So I took a bunch of path Bs and beat the bosses in hard mode, but I still didn't get any talismans... WTF...

Were you trying to get Talismans for Infernal, but playing on hard? Also, were you actually beating the bosses or letting them time out?
