Does that mean Wii games like "Sin & Punishment 2", "Ghost Squad", "Gunblade NY" will increase in value in the near future? :P

aww shit that's a goddamn shame right there man. just imagine, if you had waited ten years to sell it, you could have made 150 more dollars! AND ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS WAIT TEN YEARS TO MAKE AN EXTRA 150 DOLLARS!

Hey, that's better than 10% annual return. I'd take it.

Same with earthbound, over 2,000,000 copies printed. Where are they all at?

Phhhh... fucked if I know. I mean, with all the earthbound loose carts we used to use as substitutes for the clay pigeons on shoots; and then the ones we used in the winter to stoke the fires; there must be dozens out there somewhere....

Probably in a Texas landfill.

I picked one up loose for $50 a couple years back. One of the few SNES loosies that I came back for that set me back more than $10. Now when I look at prices for Drax C, MMX2/3, WG, Adventures of B&R, etc, it's hard to contain the laughter.

Then the laughter dies away when I realize I still need to find a clean loose Super Turrican 2.

For such a "rare" game, there sure are enough copies of Ninja Warriors on eBay at the moment
I find this really humorous, considering how much better I like the import version. Yay, pay extra for the censored version with replaced enemies, which makes several encounters less interesting and lowers overall variety. Maybe I should sell my NA copy while it's hot?

I find it really hard to believe that there are that many people out there at the moment willing to spend several hundred $/£ on SNES games that cost a tenth of that a couple of years ago. Who are these weirdos?

I can't wait until the retro market implodes and this current crop of cash splashing lunatics all lose their shirts.

I swear there was a thread just like this a few months ago.

EDIT: Feb http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?241001-SNES-Games-(Rare-Ones)&highlight=wild+guns

So...whens the wide-scale bootlegging of SNES titles going to begin? I've seen quite a few listings on ebay of rarer titles with new "repro" labels on them..

It's coming slowly brotha. Let's not forget that some of the higher profile games are being sac'd not by just shit sports games but other decent games as well. It's better just to buy a everdrive and go on your merry way unless you just HAVE to have a game CIB. I'm done with Nintendo and their cardboard box BS.

snes is awesome, I love getting complete games when possible. Hell I got sfc cotton 100% coming soon. I collect bare cart snes, jp complete, and pal box or complete. I love the look of certain pal games. Especially big box games they got. I'd love to score a pal super metroid.

Love ninja warriors again, even way way more so than the arcade version. Only negative is the solo player only feature. The price of this cart is not so bad as it is by far more common.
Well i guess (ninja warriors again) has become valuable cib at least.Loose ive seen it for less i have played it off a flashcart, but i like to have a copy of it still.Prices do seem to very for it and it's not as bad wild guns is.

I've never been as fortunate as the many people I've read about online who have found $5 Earthbounds at yardsales etc.

However, I'm glad I "overpaid" for certain titles years ago. Because if I held out longer for "reasonable" prices, I wouldn't have any of them today.

Wild Guns $75, Dracula X $60, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy $80, Mega Man X 2 $25, Mega Man X3 $80, Hagane $180 (ok pretty high).

Most of these were bought between 2005 to 2011. I guess not being thrifty kind of paid off.

SNES crap is super hot right now and Natsume stuff is all out of control, couple that and this Video Grading bullshit that everyone is falling into and that makes the value skyrocket. I hope this bubble busts and people's collections are worthless. I'm tired of hearing about " Oh I bought two copies, one to play and one to keep sealed, I like the art" Then get a poster of the cover then.

So true. Like I can afford two copies of a Natsume game.

180$ for hagane is totally legit, that game is rare. I consider X3 to be rare. I have a copy in brand new condition I bought as a kid. They didn't have that game anywhere at release.

Earthbound is a fucking joke. Not even a rare game, and horribly over priced. I blame demand. I also don't care that much for it as RPG. I guarantee you guys I'll score that at a thrift store soon enough. Shit, I just found a psx valkyrie profile for 3 dollars. haha

This subject was touched upon in a similar thread back in February in which I've linked to previously, but I don't know man, SoCal must be some sort of thrift store paradise. Around the greater Boston area, you're lucky if you can find dirty genesis sports games let alone items of quality/value. And if the rare moment arises in which you find something decent, it will end up being more expensive than ebay (this is mainly a flea market problem).

Now I'll admit, I've never made looking for games in the "wild" a full time job. But for the past ten years with semi-regular stop-ins at potential spots (from foot trafficked places to secluded holes in the wall) , the "wild" around here has reared nothing but trash, with a few exceptions.

I remember that thread, and I still agree with what you're saying here. Northeast Ohio is the same way. Overpriced crap at flea markets and the rare game store and virtually nothing at thrift stores (save the random DS kids title marked for $10-20).

IIRC, that was because Capcom underestimated the demand for that game (as well as a few others like MM7 and Final Fight 3) and wound up producing nowhere near enough copies to go around.

Here we get the goods from tag sales. I managed to score some gaming loot from a mother doing spring cleaning in the rooms of his kids, who were away in college at the time. I bet when they came back for summer break, they were pissed. XD

whoa, I checked ebay real quick for the super fami wildguns cart, holy crap.... are these doods just hoping to get lucky or is the jpn one worth way too much too now?

I was going to say I am sorta glad I have the jpn version because I can enjoy the awesome gameplay without the temptation to sell it..... but now I am rethinking :)

What a stunning game. I do hope to see more Natsume games on Wii VC. "Ninja Warriors Again", anyone?
