Sonic Wings 3 Difficulty Glitch?

When I play my MVS copy of Sonic Wings 3 on the AES using the Super MVS Converter, all of the difficulty levels I select seem to be ridiculously hard. Even when I choose Easy, the enemies take a million hits and the bullets move way too fast for me to dodge most of the time. The only difficulty that seems to be almost playable is the MVS mode. I'm thinking this is an issue with the converter since it has already given me issues with a few other games. Is it also possible that it could be a problem my game? Or is Sonic Wings 3 supposed to be this brutally difficult on the MVS?

Are you playing it on a Euro bios or the Unibios set to European region?

With normal factory bios on a Jap AES, easy mode is easier than MVS mode but not a big difference. Probably it is a tough game.

I thought this at first but after watching a few videos of the game online, it looks so much easier. I wish I had the equipment to take a good video of how it is when I play it but I don't. Basically in the first level, the first big plane you see takes what seems like a million hits to take down and the screen is constantly filled with bullets that are fast moving and very hard to dodge. The videos online show the first stage as being so easy that you have to basically die on purpose to lose a life but yet when I play my copy on any difficulty the first level feels like a life and death battle. I can get through a few levels if I play the game a lot but most of the time I just get mad and shut the game off in frustration. The difficulty is so brutally hard that I don't think I'll play the game again until I can play it on a different system to test it..

I will play again tomorrow to compare with youtube. In easy if I choose a good plane out of ten I may go in 4th stage using all credits. Damn this game is awesome! I never got frustrated. It's not a cave shooter. It's more difficult.

If you have a Neo Geo Jap (MVS or AES or NGCD), your game will be Japanese.
If you have a Neo Geo Usa (MVS or AES or NGCD), your game will be Usa (not multiple ending and little differences with Jap version).
If you have a Neo Geo EuR (MVS or AES or NGCD), your game will be Euro (super difficult bug, no flag in characters select screen etc.)

Interesting, I just played Sonic Wings 3 again and the flags were missing from the character select screen. I've been led to believe that my console is a US one but who knows, maybe the seller didn't know for sure which one it was. Is there a way to tell if it is the US or PAL version just by looking at the console?
