I like the look of it. I'm confused why so many people go with a scion. I know it's essentially a toyota, but it's the last badge I would buy.
The Subaru seems like a better choice, even if it's harder to find.

Well, I can tell you why I bought mine. I went on line to get a quote for a different brand car I wanted and they set me up with a dealer. I got a call the next day and worked it out to go down to the lot that weekend. When I get there no one has any idea who the guy I talked to was and said they never heard of him. Also they didn't even have the car I was after. We went round and round about about it and I tested out car after car.

With that I basically just said, "Fuck it." and just bought the Scion they had sitting there as I just wanted to be done and get a car.

The following Monday I get a call back from the guy I had spoken too before. He was like, I thought you were comming down this weekend...... I was like.. I did. ... anyhow turns out I went to the wrong car lot. The online thing set me up with a dealer in the next state over for some reason rather than the one in town.

Was this supposed to be the rebirth of the hachiroku?

Kind of. It's a great car, like cdamm said it's not particularly quick in a straight line but it's a lot of fun in corners.

I was supposed to buy a truck (was looking at the Ford ranger) but ended up going with this.... then I found out a few week later my wife is pregnant with our first child

Apparently you can shoe horn a baby sit in the back of this thing so we will see. :D

Scion doesn't exist here. The Subaru is exactly the same car with a different front bumper and slightly different bells and whistles depending on the region.

96 honda civic - my first car don't use anymore but still in decent shape. Got it brand new never had problem. Might trade it in for a new pickup. I need vehicle to get arcade cabs.
04 honda pilot - family car, lots of room able to pickup most cabs
09 BMW 335d - fun car to drive but maintenance is pricey

Here is a pic of the bimmer

82 Civic, fucking awesome car, ran on practically no oil and gas, over 320,000 miles before it was totaled by some asshole.
90 Civic, cool low mileage car when I got it, totaled by some asshole(me).
92 4runner, biggest gutless piece of shit car I've ever owned.
2002 Civic lx, current car, surplus work vehicle with 177,000 miles on it with absolutely no problems except for whatever minor recalls it had.

I too had a 1994 Honda Civic Coupe EX that was my daily driver. Picked it up for $2000 from a coworker 8 years ago, sold it last year to a kid for around $5000. Great little car if you're commuting. It came in handy when I was in NJ, commuting 80 miles daily for work.

2006 Dodge Durango Limited 5.7 Hemi(AKA, the Guzzler/The Family Truckster).

It's a nice comfy ride for the family, can seat 7/8, has some nice power on the hills when you need it.

1997 BMW 328IC (E36)

Along with 68k and BlueBMW, I'm a fan of the older BMW series. Bone stock on the outside (no M-Style body parts)while it is upgraded with a few newer items internally (Conforti chip, M3 exhaust). It's pure joy to drive, especially during nice summer days.

After the whole house process is over, I'd like to pick up an older E34 540i (or M5).

I drive a 2005 Honda Accord.

Wife drives a 2006 Honda Civic.

I guess we're a Honda family.... Or after delivering pizzas for years when I was younger, burning through a lot of cars, I found that Honda's are tough as nails (usually).

2012 Sentra Special Edition=daily driver for the wife.

2013 Ford Flex Limited =kiddo mobile, dog, & candy cab transport.

We traded in our 2005 Escape for the Flex, once we decided to drive xcountry for our upcoming move. 2 carseats, two adults, and a big ol' dog in the way back.

I thought I was going to be saddled w/ a mini-van...lucky for me, Ford doesn't make them anymore. ^_^

Good on Gamefan and 'Duf for having Subaru vehicles!

I had a pic in the 'car lovers' thread iirc, but I've got a 2010 WRX STI sedan in black pearl.

I'm looking to get a second car for my wife relatively soon, and will probably buy out her cousin's lease for his 2012 Impreza hatch. Alternatively, I was also thinking of a Mercedes E class.

I drive a '12 Hyundai Sonata Turbo.

Need to get some pictures up. Mainly because of the fact it has an SNK themed vanity plate (SNK4EVR).
