This is also something that has fallen behind the superhero crap:

I've always been of Sienkiewicz since he did some work on Moon Knight years ago. And of course the Resident Evil box art.

Yeah I saw the first volume at the comic shop a couple weeks ago. I didn't have any extra cash or I would have gotten it.

Grabbed a few things to read on vacation. Then vacation got canceled.

Solo HC- This looks to be amazing
Catwoman vol. 1 & 2 trades (these were cheap and looked fun, love the art)
Paul Pope- One Trick Rip Off HC

Bunch of good stuff coming out this summer: Animal Man Omnibus, Swamp Thing reprints (needs me vol. 4), Black Beetle Collection HC vol. 1, Shadowman trade vol. 2, Satoshi Kon's Tropic of the Sea etc.

Just finished Claymore volume 23. This series just keeps getting better and better and better.

If you saw the anime, it's exactly the same up until the final arc in the anime as the first 9 books or so. From there, they break away.

Only the most minor of spoilers with no plot points but I'll tag it anyways...

Spoiler:
The last arc makes it REALLY HARD to go back and do the current manga continuation without basiically saything throw out the later part of the anime, which is unfortunate, because the anime is great as well.

30 Days of night : Blood-stained looking glass.

This series has grown on me, like I said earlier, I like the bestial vampires with very little human emotion remaining in them, also the writing has gotten better, at least in the ones following the main storyline. Also, some of the art is fantastic:

Current pull list

DC:
The Flash
Aquaman
Forever Evil (mini series)
Batman '66

Upcoming: Forever Evil: Rogue's Rebellion (mini series)

Marvel:
Captain America: Living Legend (mini series)

Boom:
Regular Show

Archie Comics:
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic Universe
Mega Man

Really loving Flash and Aquaman still. Manapul kills it on Flash every issue; he usually does the art and the writing now and he's doing an amazing job. The characterization of the Rogues is absolutely great and the current Reverse Flash arc is interesting.

I've never been an Aquaman fan but I am now. Geoff Johns has been doing some of his best work ever on his New 52 Aquaman run. I don't want it to end. His powers are now more rigidly defined than in the past and he's got a really balanced moveset. Very strong, very resistant to damage, telepathy/control of sealife, fast swimming speed, awesome trident. This is neither the brooding Bats-wannabe Aquaman of the 90s nor the cheesy, lame Aquaman of eras past. This is a complex and well rounded character with a great supporting cast. Mera, Orn, Vulko, and Tula all have great characterization so far.

Batman '66 is freaking hilarious, and a worthy successor to the Adam West TV show. I won't spoil it, but in issue #3 a character I never would have expected to see in this universe showed up. I can't wait until the expand upon it.

I picked up the first issue of Living Legend because I'm a big Cap fan, and because I'm not currently reading anything else from Marvel. I honestly like more Marvel characters than I do DC, but most of Marvel's books just aren't that great. Gambit is one of my favorites and his book is just bad. I want to get into Thor or some X-family books but there's just too many stories running at the same time for me to wrap my head around..

Regular Show has been disappointing so far. They have different writers and artists for all their stories and two to three stories per issue, and they haven't really hit a groove yet. None of the artists in the first three issues have been able to capture the look of the show. The writing isn't bad but it's certainly not memorable either. It's only been three issues so I hope it shapes up soon.

I started reading Sonic and Mega Man when they did the crossover and both have been good enough to keep me reading now that it's over. Ian Flynn is in charge of both and he's been doing a pretty good job. The continuity seems to have been reset a bit in Sonic, which is good because I missed about 200 issues of Sonic and 50 issues of Universe before I started reading. Seems like they knew the crossover would draw in a new audience so they wanted to have a bit of a fresh jumping point.

Forever Evil is interesting so far. All the Villains' Month issues I bought (Ocean Master, Black Manta, Gorilla Grodd, Reverse Flash, the Rogues) were very well done and I'm very interested to see how it wraps up. I like that the Rogues aren't playing along with the rest of the villains; it suits them. They're thieves, drunks, party animals, chauvinists, and many other negative adjectives but they aren't pure evil like Bats' rogues. They don't have much interest in senseless destruction or harming innocents or ruling anyone; they just want to steal valuable things to keep their lifestyle intact. And defeat the Flash, of course. But Captain Cold is really an awesome character. Very complex for a comic book villain.

Just heard that DC is taking Francis Manapul off the Flash and putting him on Detective Comics.

So that's pretty much the shittiest news I've heard in a long time. Manapul's been on the series since the beginning of New 52 and, while it took him five or six issues to get it rolling, I think it's the best Flash run in my lifetime.

Not a Barry fan so never picked up Flash

Only DC book I still buy is Batman & Robin( mainly for the art like I did with Batman ) but might just drop that now

How many Barry stories have you read? Geoff Johns' run was pretty poor in my opinion, but most of the Barry stories before that were great in my book.

I like Wally too but such a huge part of his character is his inability (or his unwillingness) to match or surpass his mentor. Every time I read a Wally story I feel like I felt when Dick Grayson was Batman. The stories were still good and the character is very likable, but the whole time I was reading I was waiting for the "real" Batman to come back. I know Jay Garrick was the first Flash and Wally was the Flash for the majority of the Post-Crisis era, but for my money Barry Allen is "THE" Flash. Most of the Flash's iconic enemies, moments, and locations are from Barry's mythos (with the obvious exception of the Speed Force, which originated during Wally's time).

I always wished Wally would have done the Nightwing thing and taken up his own mantle after his time as Kid Flash. I think both characters belong in the DC universe but to me Wally just doesn't measure up.

(I really, really like Wally's portrayals in the DCAU (Superman TAS, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited) and Young Justice)

I read some of the Broome stuff and it bored the hell out of me

Wally on the other hand not only had interesting stories and had a power set far different then Barry also didn't have to be propped up like Barry by having multiple other characters tell you how great he is

Barry didn't have to be propped up like that either, back in his day. Also, what you describe is only Johns' handling of Barry. That's not the way the current series has been at all.

And lol@ Broome boring the hell out of you. John Broome's Wally probably bored the hell out of you even worse (Broome created him). Proves nothing. 1950s super-hero comics being boring; what a shocker.
