I have a capcom impress. I need a working monitor chassis (direct drop in working stock replacement).

PM me.

While its not a stock chassis, the Wei ya c3129a will fit the impress, you have to get a larger connector for the yoke wiring, but the 15khz actually looks really good on the Impress tube.

How much do those Wei Ya chassis cost these days? Is that the same one that's a drop-in replacement for an Astro City?

It's the same chassis that the astro uses, however looks much better on the Impress than it does the astro. They run about $160-175 depending on where you buy them from

do you know if it's a straight drop in replacement? I want as little work as possible, I grow weary of tinkering with this fucking thing :P Thanks for the help and advice so far guys!

like I said in my previous post, the yoke wires (R,B,Y,Br) are a different size, and have to be adapted, and you have to use a splitter or splice in the 120v..but other than that......its super easy, and I'm telling you a little tweaking and it looks as good as the original 15khz......if you dont believe me ask samuraishowdownsensei.....he bought the last couple Impress cabs I try-synched

Ill second this it's super easy and the 15k looks good if a toei broke on me the 3129a swap would be a no brainer. Also the addition of 31hz allows for easy hyper spin, xbox 360 or taito x2 compatibility.

Doing a bit of research here. Sorry to dig up an old topic. But I'm curious what the original chassis make and model number is in the capcom impress. Do any of you know?

Thanks for the info. Seems as though this cab uses the same board as the Neo-29. Hoping I don't have to drop $300 on fixing the issue so trying to track down a cap kit for the board before buying up a new monitor. I appreciate the quick reply!

I ordered one from them a few years ago. Legit company and they processed a return with no hassle as the first one I got had a vertical collapse a week into owning it

Awesome! Thanks guys. I called them and they have a few in stock. Buying one on Friday. There was mention here in the thread above about having to modify some of the connections slightly to fit the yoke. Anyone have any more detail on that process? Pics, of course, would be most helpful. But any info would be tremendous. Thank you again for that little Alva tip.

I got one from a seller on the forums (Rodotron 666-a). It's been in limbo for a few months- I had to send it down for repairs as it arrived non op. Its tested and works great now, but after that long I no longer need it. When I get the seller to help out with the repairs (we agreed to split the cost of repairs- I just need to figure out why he isn't responding to me), I'll be able to sell it if anybody is interested. I just need to see how much I have into it and see what I can realistically expect to get out of it- but I'd wager it'll be a lot cheaper than Alva.
