Just realized that I dicked up and posted my last group of gets in the other (arcade) thread, so I'm reposting the pics here along with the loot from today's mailman presents.

Stuff from the 16th:

And now, today's goodies!

Firstly, the shot of the lot:

So now I have some Atomiswave carts to go in those empty shocks. Damn, but Dan over at ST is a freaking shipping master. I ordered the shocks about 1.5-2 weeks AFTER the games themselves and they still got here first. Also, super special thanks to The_Pope for the NGPC carts! Great additions to my collection and I am already addicted to a couple of them you bastard :D

Interestingly enough, the guy I bought the copy of Beatmania off of included this nifty little keychain dealy in the package as an extra (funny story about that, that I will get to in a minute...)

imag0090et.jpg

And the back of it with the kinda cool 'enter your initials' arcadey style AAA...

imag0093u.jpg

So, yeah. Funny story. I was sitting in chat trying to figure this thing out what the little symbols on the thing meant, and showed it to Chempop. Yeah, the symbols. The ones that, as Chem said later, "if only there were some decoder card nearby, perhaps in a slightly more legible font..."

I can only call this an utter attack of stupid lol. Ah well, win some, lose some but at least I got some cool stuff today so *some* good came out of this :D

Getting the lower priced carts now to play as I had money for the pricey ones years back. Cart and box are like new in baggie, still retains sticker and a mint plastic tray. Fun Game anyways. Its also my 90th AES Game. Id like to get to 100 but who knows..

Bought this on the cheap, it was filthy and the buttons half worked, took it apart and cleaned it hard. the d-pad and buttons were caked with god knows what. I'm only waiting for a battery cover and a new screen and it will be "saved" GBA. I know it's a little cheap piece of hardware, but for 10 bucks all in, it's not a bad piece to have around. Plus I like the way games look on it. Have a different look on them vs the SP.

Added a couple more titles to my Phantasy Star collection. Japanese Phantasy Star Portable 2 UMD demo and Phantasy Star III Korean version. Slowly inching towards my goal of a complete Phantasy Star collection. :D

A pal in chat had pity on me and decided to feed my recent decision/obsession to start collecting original JP MD carts (other than the ZW and AB at the bottom). Glad I'm PTO this week, need all the gaming time I can get.

For the most part the JP is far superior but there are exceptions like MUSHA which is way better than the JP cart.

I won't hate. The Gameboy Advance system has a ton of great titles in it to enjoy.

Congrats! Seeing this brought back fond memories, I had a GBA in this colour only mine was with the afterburner screen backlight mod which I got from Lik Sang (OT: anyone still remember them? Great shame they are gone IMO). ALso had a flash cart and flash writer - this was before the USB days and the connection was via LPT printer cable - took some time to write to the cart and even longer to download the roms on a 33.6kbs modem ;) this must have been like 10+ years ago (time flies :P) , but a great piece of kit with excellent games all the same.

Got a nice package from sunny Spain today:

p1010594.JPG

OEM box and instruction manual is a nice touch, while I haven't yet had the chance to test it it looks clean and has the benefit of the watch cell battery mod onboard.

Currently waiting for the 161-in-1 cart - once this comes through and I should finally be up and running.

I posted this in Arcade Central before but I guess this is where this belongs.

Not arcade goods, but I'm very happy with this pick up at my local flea market

PS: the atari games, not the genesis ones in the back.
