I've hosted a few spontaneous gamenights at the new place and they've gone OK, with around 6 or so guests. Hope to get a HDTV and some more IKEA furniture and I can open up my place to the public for gamenights like I used to at the old place.

I have a Super Game Boy and Game Boy Camera headed my way soon, so expect future gamenights to have a Game Boy Camera photobooth lol. I have the capability to dump the save and transfer it to PC, and from there extract the pictures. Hipster Facebook profile photos for all!

A few of my co-workers are attending Matsuri this year. I would have gone but March was an exceptionally strapped month for me financial-wise.

I meant to ask if you were coming and if you needed any help if you were going to put up a neo booth. You always lug so much gear out for everyone to enjoy, so I figured I'd offer...

Yeah I'll have a large neo booth with probably 10 systems running, including a mini 2 slot cab and a projector for fighters. There will be some convention wide tournaments, one of which will FINALLY be 8 player League Bowling with bowling trophies. Not sure yet on the fighter tournament, but I'll have most, if not all, available. The gameover guys will be handling tournament organization.

Thanks for the help offer, but I think I'll be ok.

Sounds awesome!

I hope they pick some puzzle games for the tourneys. Magical drop, exchanger, or Bust a move would probably make for fast brackets and casuals getting interested.

Thats not a bad idea. I'm getting them a list of games for the tourney, but they are handing the bracket stuff. I may do MD3 or BAM. I'll also be bringing the Neo Pocket TV board to play some NGP on the big screen.

I'm borrowing a HD projector for Evo, if anyone wants to come by my place (Dallas near Bush Turnpike and 75) this weekend to watch with me and my friends, please PM me (or message on facebook if you've added me). I can't officially guarantee a gamenight, but we may bust out games especially during the slow parts on Friday.

I thought about going, but so far it's looking like the games will be 90% pins, and I am not a big pinball guy.

Kinda fell through, so I might go to San Antonio
or stay home for the weekend depending on what comes up.
Don't think I'll be coming up to dallas though. :sad face:
