That silver one looks real nice, is it easy to LED mod these things?

That's kind of a tricky question. As far as the technical stuff, it's pretty simple. The most difficult part is removing the original adhesive polarized film on the back of the LCD without damaging the ribbon cable or the LCD itself. The original DMG brick models are way easier to mod, but I'm of the opinion that the pockets look nicer.

Really nice work - I had my OG gameboy modded a few months back, a backlit screen on this thing might be the biggest mod improvement of any system I've ever played.

Good luck with the sale!

chazbc24: Clean up your PM's so I can reply.

Everyone else: Thanks for the kind words. I was worried that everyone might think that these were kind of dumb/pointless, but I'm very happy with how well they turned out. You don't even want to know how many of these were destroyed trying to perfect the technique. (If anyone's looking for shells/boards/original buttons for these things, let me know.)

The only downside to replacing the screen covers on these things is that the replacement covers ONLY come with a power LED hole, but the first run of GBPockets did not have a power LED. (See the yellow/silver ones)
Because of this, I'm going to offer up the yellow one for $65 shipped. It's clearly not perfect, but it's still pretty rad. I mean, that color scheme just screams "80's".

Nah, man, backlit GB's are awesome. I have an original brick that I did and I love it, I've been meaning to try a Pocket.

Ya for sure I have an original DMG-01 that I biverted and backlit with a white LED panel. Works and looks great. I also used to have a pocket I had done (sold it) and Bean_Bandit is right when he says removing the pocket's film is difficult. That damned ribbon cable is super easy to damage. Both the pocket and DMG-01 look amazing with the 4 LED backlight kits found on http://www.asmretro.com/, especially if you bivert the DMG-01.

I must say though Bean_Bandit you did a great job on these. Its rare to see people selling these that don't leave visible specs under the LCD or screen protector. It really is a pain in the ass to reassemble it without dust getting in there. Great job man.

I'm not in the market at all for a GB, but someone pls buy that Blue one! It looks great!! :)

Also, what's a biverted screen? Is that, like a screen you can invert (+/-) manually or something? If so, why would you ever want to play a game inverted/-? Or have I got it wrong??

No, you invert dark and light areas for better contrast. Take a look here for how great this can turn out.

You use a 74hc04 to invert the game boy then turn the polarizing film 90 degrees. Basically you are inverting it twice which puts it back to a non inverted state but increases the contrast a good deal and really makes the LCD look great. Also, when you backlight an original gameboy with a white backlight it comes out yellow due to the polarizing film being in the normal position. When the film is in the inverted position it looks blue instead of green. This turns that yellowish white into a very clean looking white and blueish color. Here is a picture of mine. It looks tons better in person, my camera was just being uncooperative.

Can you do other systems besides GBC/pocket? Really looking for some to do a wonderswan crystal. Even though i think that would need to be front lite.

CDAMM & PANDA: I think the remaining units still look pretty damn nice. You should probably jump on them, especially the Blue one!
