Custom Sticks... For your consideration....

I have three custom sticks using Japanese parts and they are great, there is a reason I paid a lot of money to get them over the years. I have just found for my personal preference I like the American style. I'm a firm believer that if you are a good player Japanes vs American shouldn't matter, I have seen top level players at different tournaments playing with shitty no name sticks with whatever knock offs were in there. Looks at Tomo, LAakuma, Alex Valle and those guys back in the day, they could vream any current players using old beat up parts on whatever they were given.

There is no type that is superior to the other, it is ALL a matter of preference. I went to a lot of tournaments all over the country and all you have to do was watch a MVC2 tourny and you never say Japanese parts.

You're right, it is about preference. I think Tomo still uses American style parts, but Jeff & Alex have both switched to Japanese parts because they both feel their execution is better with them. As for MVC2, I think there are some benefits in that game with the American stick going back to neutral quicker. Marvel has pretty much always been played competitively more by Americans anyway. The one clear advantage Japanese parts have is with charge characters, with a square gate at least.

Any idea on how much you would charge for one? I would be interested if the price was right.

I'd probably have to start somewhere around $140-$150 for the base stick (IL Joystick and buttons, DB15 only), add $20 for Japanese parts (joystick, buttons, balltop), add $20 for USB support (PC/PS3). Does this seem unreasonable?

I'll gladly pay that! Especially with the USB add-on. Please put me down on the list for one and PM me when your ready to sell. I definitely want to buy one.

I like them! Personally, the AI stick has me set for Neo Geo.

However, if you offer 6/8 button set ups for supergun use and multi console support, I would be interested in picking up one.

Any chance you could do other arcade control panel themes? Egret II control panel or Astro City would look cool with the Japanese buttons and stick.

Part of the appeal to me is the fact the sticks have the SNK/NeoGeo/MVS labels on. Any way to keep this aspect of the cosmetics?

Wow these look great, good work! Good that they can be used on different setups as well, well worth the money.

You can always have it printed out by someone else or a local place.

Artwork is killer. Absolutely perfect for my CMVS, definitely ditch that top left logo though.

THese look great, I would be down for two sticks if it would be possible to order custom supergun button setups e.g. standard 4 button Neo Geo layout + additional 3 buttons on a row above to have an alternative six button SF2 style setup. Are the connections to the buttons accessible / swappable for different button configs?
MVS artwork is mega, would loose the top left logo though.
