I recently replaced the screen on an ipod touch 4th gen and after doing so, the screen is just white. I tried testing out a few different screens, but no matter what it's still white.
I attempted the "white screen fix"(holding down home, vol up & power for 10 sec) and that did not work. Supposedly if that does not work, the next step is to try a restore... Only problem there is, when I connect it to my PC it says it's unable to restore because there's a password set on the device.... yet I can't enter in the password because the screen is white.
I'd go to a local apple store but considering all the screens I have for a touch 4g are different colors, they'd know the device has been tampered with.
Bloody thing... why can't they be as easy to work on as iphones.
