Well there wasnt a fucking thread about it so here we go.

Release date is set tentatively for October 25, 2013. There should be a legitimate trailer out today or tomorrow, till then its just a 30 second deal of Deathstroke and Batman beating on each other.

Rocksteady Games is off the project and WB Montreal is on it this time.

Here are two nerds talking about all the facts and rumors about it - http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/05/17/every-fact-and-rumor-about-batman-arkham-origins

I wish Mark Hamill wasnt over being the Joker...

These games are the best Gen3 series to me by far. Day one purchase.

Kotaku spreading some rumor about online play, too. Trippy.

I really loved the first 2 games.

I did enjoy the more immersion of Asylum but I liked the freedom of City. For this one I am just excited to see more of off beat rogues gallery for Batman to deal with. :)

They'd be a day one purchase for me if it was the same people who made the previous two games. But since it's a completely new team at a completely different developer, the potential for ball-dropping and disappointment is massive.

One of two things had to have happened, and either would amaze me. Either Rocksteady didn't want to work on a third game, despite the massive success they enjoyed, or WB didn't want to stick with Rocksteady, despite their massive success and proven affinity for the material. Either choice is mind-boggling to me. Someone must have gotten seriously greedy.

I'll wait for reviews to make sure the new developers don't muff it.

I'm worried about the fact that the series has been handed to a new developer. Seriously, it's the second game WB Montreal has made. Their first effort supposedly wasn't very good. Still, I'm mildly optimistic.

The groundwork of the first two games is there. All WB Montreal will have to do is a pallette swap of a few major Batman characters. Put their twist on a few internal systems. Wrap it up and ship it.

We'll gobble it up.

Or they want to make this a yearly franchise like Assassins Creed or Call of Duty. It would even mirror the AssCreed franchise because it was two years between the first two and then yearly ever since. I think CoD has been like that since CoD4 too actually.

Bumping this thread to see if anyone else will be playing multiplayer beta this coming weekend? Just got my email this morning with the code.

Don't be stupid: wait for the GOTY edition. They did it with Asylum and City less than a year after launch and they've already announced a Season Pass for Origins.

In less than a year there will be a 40 dollar version of the game complete with 70+ dollars worth of DLC they squeezed out of stupid launch buyers.
