The likelihood of fakes on ebay?

I wlll post a few pictures of the insert, manual and cart sticker soon, maybe you guys can help me figure out if its real or not. According to the seller from the US , the cart is one from the 1st run.

Is there any way to tell if its the fisrt run indeed?. In think the seller was honest imho.. he was also selling a copy of Jap AES Pulstar, showing pictures of the boards an all. In think that game was sold for like 770 USD finally.
