I have just scratch built a brand new MVS cabinet, Its all finished with fresh decals and looking beautiful but i have noticed that some units have what appears to be a design or licence plate or something on the front panel usually to the right side ( see attached pic mvs 4 +2 upright ) I would love to know what this is as i would like to make a reproduction one to make it look really authentic i wondered if any of you guys could shed some light on it or might have a descent picture of one.

That should be the serial number sticker:

Yup, I wish mine still had it, but a lot of the units had them pulled off at some point. For me since I don't know the Serial number of the upright, I don't care to reproduce it and put a bogus number on it.

yes well as i said ive just built this brand new so ill make up my own number for it, i just wanted that final detail

So, you want to try and self-autheticate your MVS cab by bootlegging a serial number sticker?!

Right. Sooo... what number you gonna plump for?

i went for 20006897, Its not about self authenticating anything or bootlegging im not selling this cabinet to someone and telling them its original, Its just about the finish and how i personally wanted my mvs cabinet that i built to look

If that was put on the front panel I can definitely understand why just about everyone took it off.
