I think it's cool, but mine sits in the box on the shelf. Rather just use the SP.

I still play with my Gameboy Micro and a flash cartridge. It is easy to carry around and the screen is sharp and colorful. It can get cramped playing it for long periods because of the tiny form factor but for a quick play it is good.

I have one of those Nintendo anniversary ones just sitting in a drawer in it's pouch. I had played it once, but to be fair, I bought it new for 20 bucks when EB was clearing them out.

$20 from EB? Wow, that's a deal. ...let me know if you ever want to get rid of it. I want one, but stupid ebay prices make it not worth it.

Sure, I'll look for it tomorrow and ask my wife if she minds selling it. I'll let you know yea or nay.

It's too small for me to play comfortably. Still prefers the original GBA here.

I was amazed how well it could fit into your pocket, great backlit screen, but it doesn’t go with other gameboy accessories. Overall it was great a purchase for me.

The fact it only played GBA games made it not worth my time. I collect original Game Boy and ever since I got the NES SP, that's all I've used since.

Not sure how people can even play the system comfortably...buttons are made for 3 years olds.

I owned a micro and one point and it was a nice little machine. Obviously very portable. I remember the screen was fantastic but if you have larger hands, you are going to be hurtin.

I own the Famicom Edition one, used it once and found it to be way to small for me.

I had one when I was a rent-a-cop. Screen was nice, it was discrete also so I could play on the job/etc.. I ended up dropping it in the toilet accidently while reaching for a cherry coke (used to use the fired CEO's "personal bathroom" it had a little cooler filled with sodas in there, lol) I decided to let Lupe and the cleaning crew keep it, I wasn't going to fish it out (this occured post beer squirts) Otherwise it was pretty cool.

Same here, I had a Famicom Edition (the best looking one IMO) and it cramped the shit out of my hands after 15 minutes. Imagine Double Dragon Advance on that, lol. Quickly sold it and just used my DS Lite.

The micro is a little too small to be comfortable to me, I prefer the SP with the better screen.

i have one and i love it

it does cramp my hands after a while but the sheer portability of it offsets the pain

the speakers aren't that great but the tiny screen makes everything look super-sharp

i've been meaning to get another since mine is a little dinged up (i've had it since release and used to bring it with me everywhere) but last time i looked they were a bit high priced

I have the famicom micro and a standard silver one that I use with a flash cart, they've been good to me while travelling. A few years back in a really small game store near Nara I bought a brand new final fantasy IV SE micro for 900 yen. Spent the rest of the trip worrying about it getting crushed in my smallish bag.

I thought these looked neat when they first launched, but the shitty price point and no backwards compatibility made it a worthless purchase to me. My hands are way too big for this anyways. The best portable choice to me is the Famicom Anniversary GBA SP.

I actually have two Micros. I have a silver one with a silver face-plate currently attached to it and a Japanese Famicom Edition one with the box. It is one slick handheld!
