They've got quite a backlog of machines and they waited about 6 months.

Only auction game in town now.

Same place as usual. Anyone want to meet me there?

I'm going to get in touch with Lou or James this week to see what the outlook is.

Is this the one at the ice rink like place?

The one where the last auction ended in 45 minutes?

And everything went far higher than it really should of.

I really miss Auction Game Sales' auction. Stupid Maryland Fairgrounds shortchanging me the 2012 event.

To be fair, that was the smallest auction of ALL time and they acknowledged before hand that it was garbage and they shouldn't have done it. The previous one was about 2 months before and there was simply no product to move.

It should be pretty good and their auctions are typically all day affairs, TBH.

I'm reaching out to them to see how many machines they'll have themselves.

Well let me know, I might be interested but don't want to drive up all the way if nothing's available.

Auction doesn't start til 6pm? That's nuts, do lou's auctions run late into the night? I guess with machines not having to be there, they don't do a preview night?

I emailed Lou this morning to find out how many machine he alone has for it. He provides the bulk of machines.

They've never done late auctions and I'm going to guess it's due to scheduling conflict at the arena.

They are usually VERY good sized auctions.

What are the odds of any Candy Cabs being there?

Not unheard of, but they're Bass Fishing cabs.

Even with the pedestal.

I've seen a few there over the years.

Just moved to Harrisburg, PA this last month and looking to go. Saw a couple announcements spammed through craigslist and mentioned during a KLOV meet up a little bit ago. A preview night or updated list of the games would be nice but since its the only show in town I'm up for it!

It was fun. Several NG folks made appearances, which was great. Not much of a selection, but a few interesting tidbits. Half a hockey rink in size. No Neo stuff. No candies. A little bit of everything else.

So how was the event?

Pretty decent. Not among their best, but a good lot of machines. Prices were high because it was heavily advertised, there was shill bidding out the ass and there were decent quality machines there. About 1/2 of their normal haul of machines. For an arcade auction, you could do much worse.

Buy of the night: Asteroids Deluxe, beautiful, near mint: $150

Scam of the Night: Some idiot got shill bid up on an Addams Family pin by the owner to the tune of a $700 markup. $3800 total

The June/July one should be VERY good. (It usually is.) When money is made on high prices, the ops who where there tend to bring down LOADS of machines for the next one, flooding the market and driving prices down. The local ops also like to turn over stock/machines in the Summer.

Nice. Just curious, what fighters and CPS2 games were in attendance? Any Big Blues?

CPS2: XvSF, MSH.
Fighters: Martial Champion, Killer Instinct, a few others I can't remember

No Big Blues.

Lot of driving games, 2 Dance Machines (I lost out on both), hunting games... what you'd normally expect.

I'm kind of annoyed the next auction is scheduled during the prime time of Too Many Games.

I picked up a Soul Edge cab at the one in March and a buddy got a nice Tekken machine.

Too Many Games.

Totally off topic but, since you brought it up, I will have a booth set up at Too Many Games under JSJ Games. I'll have 2 Sony PVM's running a Raijin Sigma Supergun and a consolized MVS setup. I'm also going to be bringing my PCE LT SuperCDROM setup for the first time ever.

If anyone is going to the auction, please stop by the booth. I'll be there all weekend.

Jon
