Hello everyone, I am a long time lurker that loved playing the Neo Geo cabs in the arcade as a kid. I often dreamed of owning an AES, however, I could not afford the deposit to rent one from the local mom and pop video store that carried the only unit that I have ever set my eyes on.
I pre-oredered the Neo Geo X, and have enjoyed it so far... It serves its purpose as a handheld, however, I was really disappointed with the TV output.
I had the good fortune to get the opportunity to pre-order a CMVS a couple of months ago, and I have started a library of MVS carts while waiting on it to arrive. I am looking to expand that library, and am weary of getting gouged on ebay.
I have been fortunate enough to receive only one bootleg cart so far, however, the seller described it in a way that pretty much advertised it as such... so it was expected. If it wasn't for the community, I would not have been able to spot it so easily.
The recent development in AES style MVS carts pushed me to stop lurking and register. I find that prospect exciting to be a part of, and I cannot wait to see the finished product and replace some of these MVS shells that look like they've been dragged behind somone's car for a few blocks.
I like to tinker, and would like to buld a cmvs and/or own and maintain a cab in the future (don't have the space for a cab now). There is more than enough info here to get me on my way.
Thanks for allowing me to sign up, and I look forward to hearing from you.
