Hello all

as I accidentally wrote to a wrong topic, I'm a somewhat long-time gamer and a game collector. I love playing games and love to have a physical copy sitting on my shelf.

I've always wanted a Neo-Geo but they have been so damn expensive that I haven't bought one. Now I think is the time to jump in at last with a CMVS. Can't wait to play some Neo-Geo games :drool_2:

I can admit I'm a huge Sony fanboy since the first PS1 and the PS3 is probably my most used console in the past 10 years.

I guess that's it :glee:

Welcome to the Forum , MVS is the best way to collect. Daniele is selling some Neo Mini Box (an alternative to Shockboxes).

Another new member here. It won't let me make a new topic in the newbie forum? Oh well, replies seem to work.

I'm getting an MVS in the mail soon. Yay, can't wait! I'm mostly interested in the shmups for now.

Hi!
The Neo has some good shmups. I only wish they had a bigger library. It's pretty small when you compare it to the Saturns library of shmups. Welcome to the forum. :)

Thanks. I have to admit I originally got into arcade hardware for jamma boards, so the MVS is just a plus. I've already got most of the console stuff I want, so I'm more interested in the other titles. I already have the Dreamcast version of Twinkle Star Sprites and the NG.dev stuff.

The NeoGeo game I wanted the most was Strikers 1945 Plus (loved the other Strikers titles), and that's on the way. I can see myself getting Aero Fighters 2/3, Pulstar, Blazing Star, Last Hope, and Nam.

I have the Saturn version of Twinkle Star Sprites which I personally think is the best version. It plays well and it has a ton of bonus material, and it doesn't cost an arm and two legs. My neo geo AES/ MVS collection probably won't be as large as most that are in the collection forum, but I'll be happy with it.

New member here as well! I just picked up a 4-slot cabinet a few weeks ago and have been loving it. I lucked out an got a V2 in great condition with 4 carts (Viewpoint, Samurai Showdown 2, Metal Slug X, and Bust a Move) for $400. I had an AES system with 8man and Fatal Fury back when I was a kid when I traded some guy an Atari Jaguar for it. I absolutely loved it but sadly, I was a moron and sold it because I couldn't afford the games at the time.

I've enjoyed all the information sharing here and am excited to be a point of the community!

LOL!

You traded your AES for a Jaguar! Well you where young and foolish back then, so I'll chalk it up to that. ;)

Ha, no. The other way around. I had a Jaguar and he gave me the AES. I couldn't have afforded to buy it so that was how I came about it. Sorry, my wording was poor... I then took the AES down to the local game store a little while later and traded it in for a bunch of 3DO games...... So not much better I guess.

Pretty new here too, so I'm saying hi and paying my dues to be welcomed among the scene. I've recently decided to jump in to collecting MVS boards and carts, so I wanted to find a place where i can just talk to people about these things and not be looked at weird. Most of my friends don't even know what I'm talking about.
