You guys don't have rules about pricing everything that is for sale in the marketplace forums?

I would think on a site as dedicated to rooting out scammers as this one that people also wouldn't stand for the fishing-for-suckers ploy of make me an offer when it comes to items that are in no way hard to price.

Is Neo-geo.com at least taking fees from all these silent auctions?

What about the individuals who casually make those: "Sell me your rare AES games... I'll pay generously for them" type approaches to buying? Surely, if they're eager and willing to throw any old figure at certain games, that will contribute to falsely inflating the market price? Blazing Star had to reach that £1k stratosphere somehow in the space of an 18 month period?

Yeah, I just ignore it. You can't really fight it anymore...Even one of the mods for our Homecart PRICE GUIDE does offer threads. Very poor taste..

The market mod(s) are somewhat passive and allow them them to do so.

They seem to regulate a sales thread after the community decides to take action and "mark-it-all-up."

On many occasions I've made offers to people. Not lowball, overall pretty decent offers. They reply with "well I've got 4 other offers that are higher." So I don't counter offer and move on. Then the game ends up unsold for months and months. If they had higher offers, why didn't they sell the game? Some people are definitely only looking to fleece people.

It should be a rule but there are a lot of new people and old (the people who have 0-4 post count) who solely just buy and sell on here without contributing.
