See, I don't need amazing graphics. Fallout 3 and Vegas were 2 of the best things I played in the past decade. Batman AA and AC as well. Sure, I would like to play another RE or MGS, but I don't want to buy into the new PS4 Ponzi scheme that those Nanking rapists have devised.

I agree. Graphics dont make the game.. Dragon Age Origin and Fallout 3 are two of my favorite games and neither looks amazing.. DAO looks like fucking shit actually. It is really fun to look at some amazing graphics though. The Witcher 2 gives me a fucking hard on every time I.... uh.. pop it in.

it looks like more of the same but more powerful (whatever that means) and with more (Social?) options.
If Nintendo puts their shit together....that´s what i will be playing.

Mario 1 and 2 are the exact same game in japan, and Mario usa (2) is another companies game that they just sprite hacked.

Not too impressed with it considering high-end PCs are still more powerful and better. The new controller looks lame, and they still couldn't get the analog stick placement right. This set-up did not work well for people with large hands. 360's controller set-up is better.

only thing i was interested in was Watch Dogs

even though it was running a PC i'm just speaking of the game in general and not the PS4 version of it

looks to be one of the more interesting game concepts i've ever seen

I didn't see anything that interested me. I'm not on any of the social media things so I don't care or want any of that crap. The eye looks cool but I'd never use it. I'm pretty sure I'm not getting any of the new consoles.

Encouraged by the Vita functionality, especially the remote play, the sharing option, the Gaikai cloud and the long list of third party devs.

I have no thoughts no the controller other than 'it's a controller.' I'll wait to actually play a game with it before passing judgment.

In the past, Sony let Sega and Microsoft release products first and then followed them by releasing products they thought would perform better. They were right with Sega, wrong with Microsoft. Time for the rubber match with Nintendo!

Anytime a new console is announced, all you see on message boards is "LAME! Not buying! Everything about this is stupid! My PC is 800x more powerful and I built it five years ago!" Jesus Christ, this thing has been announced for twelve hours.

I hate almost every other gamer in the world. This site is the only place I can talk about videogames withou wanting to hit someone.

I would like for at least 65% of the focus on getting a PS4-Vita connectivity to go instead on making sure the Vita plays Vita games

Figured Watch Dogs was going to be next gen but at this point I'm ok with the "low rez" PS3 version for purchase

New Killzone and Infamous of course I'm down for

They just want to be alone by themselves, playing games alone.

I naturally assumed you could set restrictions on who can see you/what you're playing/etc because clearly by now some folks who push this have to know people want some forms of privacy

The consoles are kind of hitting a plateau in terms of graphics, sure they make advances but they're nothing like they used to be. Think of the difference between the NES and the SNES compared to the difference between the PS2 and the PS3. A new console needs a new concept, 5% better graphics isn't enough.

At least Nintendo are trying to do that.

Mario 2 was released as Lost Levels in Mario All Stars here in the US. Mario actually plays differently from Luigi.

Thats what I was trying to say. Remember their was princess and toad too. I just hope this time Nintendo get the 3rd party support for their Wii U.

Oh really? They added a touch screen. That feels like the biggest gimmick in the world. Not to mention there 2 previous consoles before it out put the same frigging graphics with no graphic updates at all. Infact some people argue zelda looked better on game cube than the wii.

Not to mention there newest console which cost more than a ps3 or 360 has pretty much the same graphics. But they had to cut animations out and back grounds and stuff to make the games run as smoothly as ps3/360. Its got a super nice graphics card yes. But the cpu is under powered. Even the tekken team admitted to having to water down that version to get it to run smooth.


As for the ps4. I'm looking forward to it. New exclusive titles. Thats the only reason to buy a console. Since pc graphics are always better.

My point was the graphics aren't important anymore, I'm not looking for a more powerful console, I'm looking for a new concept.

But if miniscule graphics improvements matter to you then sure, bin another $400 on this, go nuts.

Like I said previously, I am really looking forward to what Valve is doing....

I am sure they are going to do something amazing... almost virtual boy amazing (lets just hope it does not end like how that did!!)
