Hey Guys! Thanks for letting me be a member. I gotta say its a bit confusing at first waiting for the account to be "fully" authorized. Took a bit of digging in the posts to figure out that I basically had to sit and wait.
A brief Neo-Geo history on me: Picked up a MVS 4-25 cab a few years back on a work trip up in Kapuskasing cananda for $100 and had our company truck drive it back down to Michigan for me. It was a little beaten up and needed the boards gone through, so I dismantled it, cleaned all the boards, slapped on a new coat of stock paint and replaced all the trim. Its a pretty nice cab except I ended up having to remove the monitor and cut the back 4" off to get it in the basement
. I reattached the pieces, caulked it, and repainted it. There is a slight visible seam, but not too bad. I bought and sold a few carts for it and have been enjoying it since.
However I lately have been getting the itch to play other games on it and have decided to...prepare yourselves...convert it.
Buying carts is just so crazy expensive and I'd like to play some other non-Geo games. Mrs. says having a 2nd cab in the basement is out of the question too
.
With that being said, I want it done to preserve the classic big red look as much as possible, so I'll be posting another topic to talk about my plans, and ask for advice/help.
