For anyone with the patience to read through it, here's Dorner's unedited manifesto.

'Damn, gonna miss Shark Week.'

I paraphrased the guy's manifesto for my girlfriend last night. She was pretty horrified, mostly because she says incidents of massacres in America are going up and becoming more condensed, most likely because media coverage for this kind of stuff plays into potential killers' grandiose suicide fantasies. The coverage of Sandy Hook was good at looking at the victims instead of the psychology of the killer, but in a case like this it's pretty hard not to cover the murderer, and the fact that his manifesto purports to support positive social change just makes him more of a beacon for people about to snap.

Then I said that I don't think a thing like this could possibly happen in any other country. Like, obviously this guy snapped and although he once had a good head on his shoulders his actions are more about revenge and ego than anything socially justifiable. That could happen anywhere. But I think the way he decided to enact his vengeance, by becoming an action movie super villain, is specifically American. I mean, he's enacting such a grandiose power fantasy. Sure, American action movies go all of the world, but that sort of radically individualistic, cowboy revolutionary mentality seems like a piece of Americana to me.

So yeah.

They aren't happening more frequently, but the non-stop 24/7 media coverage of them by traditional and new media outlets is increasing.

People love the fucking spectacle.

hahaha get a load of this guy. It's like he's on another planet with his vulcan girlfriend turning their nose up at the dark, backward world he's left behind.

You're in China, bro.

I'm honestly far more worried about the LAPD (as if that's anything new) then Chris Dorner. At least he's not just shooting at random people.

Exactly. Although I think the idea of possibly targeting families is uncool.

Surely not a "target" in the sense that they're going to use a drone to kill him?

He's only a suspect in a series of crimes.

from what i read on the drone targeting of him it is for the use of their thermal imaging cameras. He supposedly has threatened to 'knock out' helicopters that follow him with shoulder mounted rockets.

if this is the case (and its a hell of a thing to even type)- i see no problem using drones as a tracking device on a fugitive if it keeps the lives of pilots safe.

Now- If the drones are targeting to kill a suspect then thats a whole separate ball of wax.

I heard he threatened to take out any tanks they sent after him with his eye beams.

Didn't read the link, but the info in the quote underneath is complete bullshit. 5" long bullets, maybe if they count the length of the entire cartridge. Does the media even give one iota of a fuck about truth anymore, fucking vultures. I feel sorry for this guy, even after the horrible things he's done, seems like he was railroaded. If only he hadn't resorted to murder.

the same info is being reported everywhere bullshit or not. draw your own conclusions.

though it is kind of hard to draw a proper conclusion if you dont read anything about it.

For those who don't want to read, here is a visual guide to some of his armament specs:

No wonder they are shooting first and i.d. checking later.
