I've been fortunate enough to find the games I sold again. That's been Super Castlevania IV on the SNES and the original Ninja Gaiden on the NES. Other than that, I can't think of any game I've lost sleep over.

I guess my US Rage of the Dragons for AES and my US Metal Slug 2 NGCD. Still, everytime I think I really miss my copy of RotD... I play it on the emulators and realize how mediocre it really is. MS2 isn't a huge deal since there are other ways to play it, but it was the only actual Neo Geo version I had.

I almost never sell any games, but the only one that annoys me still is when I traded in my copy of Last Blade 2 on DC because there was something else I wanted to get at the time and figured I'd just re-buy it when I had the money. My buddy at EB put it on hold for me so I could buy it back, and sometime shortly after, his boss sold it to someone, disregarding the note to hold it. I've never been able to get it back since; I refuse to pay ridiculous ebay pricing.

None. What's gone is gone.

Yeah, when I shed something, it's normally for a reason. I've shed things that made my "collection" great but titles I just never played. I had SNES Final Fight Guy, a complete in the box Jaguar, a region mod Duo R, Super DodgeBall MVS kit, the complete NES Aladdin set including all games all sealed in box....That's just a few of the rare/hard to get items I eventually sold. The problem was, I never played any of them. I put the $$ to better use elsewhere.

I'm on the fence about it.

You're better off, after beating it 3 times, I don't miss the game at all. Plus, I bought the jp version for a mere fraction of the cost if I ever want to play a game I basically have memorized.

To be honest, most of my genesis/snes games. Noted titles include streets of rage, trouble shooters, chrono trigger, Zelda:Lttp.

Since then, I've come to terms that my copies of PS1 Suikoden 1 and 2 are forever lost :(

As far as the home console games, none.

Arcade cabinets...well, out of all the ones that I used to own and even operate on the street, the two I most regret getting rid of would be a dedicated upright Satan's Hollow and Firefox. While both are neither outstanding games, there were nice pieces and I couldn't be beaten on either one. Both were given to me so when I sold the SH, it was a nice profit plus it cleared up a lot of space at home after its 'street' run. Firefox like virtually every laserdisc game had its laser player burn out and then while it was being moved, the back part fell out and the monitor neck was busted off so the game was sold for parts. Deep down if I had the resources for it, I should've kept it and fixed it up. Oh well...

I never regret selling games, I only regret selling consoles and handhelds.

If I get rid of a game, it's because I've either squeezed everything I think I'm going to get out of it, or never got around to it and figure it'll be easy enough to re-acquire when I need it. That being said, I've gotten rid of VERY few of my games in the last 6 or so years and held on to at least one iteration of every system I've owned in that time.

Sega Genesis mid 90's right around the time the PS1 came out.I traded it in for store credit to get a PS1.Mostly because i thought i was done with the genesis,so i had no problems trading it in.Still my biggest regret was giving snatcher for the sega-cd to a friend.

Since i didn't have the console any more and snatcher wasn't worth much,i thought why not.How was i suppose to know back then that snatcher would become a high value game :hammer: Oh well while i been able to get a genesis again i doubt it will be the same for snatcher....

Maybe my copy of Lunar Silver Star Story Complete for PSX. I've also had copies of Burning Ranger and Snatcher, but I sold those off and haven't missed them. In this day and age, I can get any of those as ISOs and play them on emulators.

Never sold any old games of mine yet. Some have gone missing over time but none I care about. Long live aggressive keepsake tendencies! ;)

Agreed.

But still regret trading in my Neo Geo, KOF 94, Top Hunter, and Metal Slug for that lame ass modded Playstation.

Winner?

But then again.....

I traded 10-15 burned dc games (with cases, art, stickers) for complete Saturn, pads, bunch of complete games (RPGs, action/ platform).

Then I traded all that shit for an Xbox modchip (during the early solder 21 wire days), a modded Saturn, pro action replay ram switch, spindle of burns.

I got a lot out if that modchip and played a lot if Saturn titles I probably would have never seen but the games I traded were the real thing and many were some high dollar shizzles.

Ninja Gaiden Trilogy. It played worse than the NES originals so I didn't keep it. Can't believe how much this goes for now.

Basically gave away a top loading NES in maybe 1999. I actually prefer to think of that as given away, since what I got in exchange for it was such bullshit. I bought it new, myself, when those came out.

I also regret selling my Super Dodgeball MVS kit and Last Resort, however many times I've had it and sold it.
