When I was younger I traded/sold some quality games/systems I wish I still had.

I traded a Jap Megadrive with Bare knuckle 1/2 for £50 and Mario Kart ;(

Deep Fear Pal for Saturn £15 ;(

SNES and games for an Atari Jag and Cybermorph.
Doh :( :(

What a depressing thread, but what about you guys?

My copies of Breath of Fire III and IV in 2008. I was hurting for money and I didn't want to let those games go. I go them for $30 total and I really wanted to beat the games.

I traded in my megadrive with 10 games including Gynoug, probably my favourite shmup ever, for a measly £100 off a £300 launch day Playstation 1. A couple of months later I was playing Battle Arena Toshinden on my 'upside down to get it to work' PS1 feeling pretty pissed off to be honest. Had kept my SNES though, so happy days there.

This. I'm a terrible trader. Pretty much only duplicates.

I did trade off some complete TG16 games stupidly. Neutopia, Dungeon Explorer, and Bonk. All with boxes. The market at the time for TG16 was terrible, and I wanted some more games to play. I did get Neutopia II out of that deal.

Regretted it, shoulda kept that game.

Deep Fear Pal for Saturn £15 ;(
That is pretty depressing, but chances are, you had no idea at the time.

Similarly, I swapped my "bought from new" PAL copy of Guardian Heroes on Saturn for an unboxed Fatal Fury Special on the SNES well over a decade ago. The PAL FFS for SNES was butchered (vs FF2 on PAL/vs FFS NTSC) and, well, it was an exchange I have always regretted.

To be honest though, I don't think I've ever regretted selling anything. Just the short-en of trades I've regretted. I've got plenty of those ;)

I traded Master of Syougi to Fran in exchange for KoF 2002, that he bought new from the neo store. Lol.

Yup. I have no defense other than I couldn't afford any other AES games...besides, it was hard to find games unless I ordered them from Mainland game shops and pay the sickening inflated shipping prices to HI at the time.

I played the shit out of that Playstation, though. First game I got for it was Tekken 2. Played it until I wore out the CD laser sled.

I figured that some of the Neo games were being released to Playstation so I'd go that route...damn loading times....

I gathered my Genesis, SNES and a few games and took them to my local mom & pop game store with the intention of trading them for the brand new Sony Playstation. I didn't quite have enough, so the store owner demoed the Panasonic 3DO for me and told me how it's just as good as a PS1. I left the store with a 3DO and a copy of Need for Speed that day.

Just thinking about that transaction makes me feel ill.

Nah you got a better playing and looking version of the game for much cheaper. I'd say you did alright.

I shouldn't ask but what is a PAL Deep Fear going for these days?

I traded in damn near my entire collection when the Dreamcast came out. Honestly though, very little regret about that with the exception of the TG-16 which I still haven't replaced to this day.

Only one I can think of is a new copy of Sunset Riders on the SNES. I played the hell out of it at my friend's house and rented it so my folks got it for me for Christmas. I ended up trading it into Funcoland for some used Game Gear games since I just got that. Since I lost a lot of my games and other things in my house fire back in 99' I've held onto things. The only stuff I sold off was a copy of Para-Para Paradise for the PS2 and my MVS copies of Nightmare in The Dark and Ghost Pilots. I traded them to get my Xbox 360 and I use that a hell of a lot more then the other games, so it was a good trade to me.

I rarely sell games I like, but I did sell Panzer Dragoon Saga so that I could buy Psychic Killer Taromaru. I had beat PDS, so why not.

You really shouldn't ask, but seeing as you have... around £100!

It's not worth that much imo, but that's what it goes for nowadays. Was around the £70 mark a year or two ago, so you can really see what eBay can 'do' for games prices... :oh_no:

Doesn't sound like you regretted selling PDS, so I don't get your point/post?

Sold my copy of Ogre Battle 64 in 2001 to fund new snowboard bindings. I had beaten it a few times already but I still regret it.
