Ralfakick and I are organizing a meetup at 1984 in Wilmington, DE for Saturday 2/2/13.

We're thinking mid-afternoon starting time. Loose plans are to hang out, have a few craft brews and play some arcade games for a while, then maybe get some food locally. I'm driving down from just north of Philly, so contact me if you wanna carpool. Who's in?

I'm down of course, I'll prob bring Stef, and I've alerted Pern as well who said he is good to go. The owner is cool about bringing outside food, there is a 7-11 around the corner and a Chinese place next door. Down the road is a Joe's Crabshack and a brand new IMAX movie theater http://www.penncinema.com/index.php (opened in November) if we want to drive about 10 minutes and something good is playing and people are interested. BTW there is parking in the lot and around the corner at 1984 if anyone is curious.

I really liked their setup there as far as games go. Excellent selection despite the small space. They even had a better working Bride of Pinbot.

Only thing is the games seem really out of place...it definitely looks more like a bar than an arcade, which is OK, I guess.

Probably won't be able to make it. I'll see everyone at TMG, more than likely.

BTW have you gotten your hands on a Neo Geo X (I see you posting in those threads), I can bring mine in February if you want to take a look at one firsthand.

1984 is fantastic, definitely one of the most fun spots in the area with a killer selection of games and pinball machines. Also, the men's room is adorned with from top to bottom with images of the Golden Girls. It doesn't get much better than that.

Anyways, I'll be there this coming Saturday for my birthday festivities and I'll gladly make the trip up to catch up with members of the site if my work schedule is open. It's only about a twenty minute drive from my place.

Also, they just got a four player X-Men cabinet a few weeks ago, and they have MvC as well. Not too shabby if you ask me.

I haven't been there since mid December, I may have to go there before the get together to play some X-MEN. Happy birthday BTW, mine was yesterday.

They've gotten a few more cabinets since then. While I love the theme of the place I'm happy Matt (the owner) has decided to branch out a bit from the golden age of games and offer some quality '90s cabs.

I know it's short notice but if you're not busy Saturday and would like to come out and have a beer and a bite to eat you're more than welcome to join us.

1984 opens at 5, talking to Daskrabs, we will start around then and then break about an hour and a half or two into this for dinner. Please PM him or me if you anyone has any questions, I'll check my PM box daily for the rest of the week.
