1CC of Ninja Gaiden 1, 2, and 3 for me. I had a serious addiction to these games when I was young. I remember being yelled at one year on Christmas morning to come open presents but I had been given Ninja Gaiden 2 for my b-day the day before and wouldn't budge. When a game keeps a child from opening presents, you know it's good.

Man all of your 1cc runs sound so impressive! I don't think I've been able to do that on any game, new or old. I'd like to see some of you put some vids up of your runs, it'd be pretty cool imo.

The NES ones don't impress me very much. I reckon I've come close to doing that or have already done it on most Mega Mans, Castlevanias and Ninja Gaidens without trying. The arcade games are generally harder to do because they were designed to eat credits.

Well IMO almost all arcade games kinda hardcore comparing with consoles 
But let's see:
NES - I'm pretty sure it was lots of really hard games, but as for now i can only remember "Werewolf: The Last Warrior". The level with lots of waterfalls and jet-pack guys didn't have powerup transforming you to Werewolf. So it means if you died with werewolf in this level, the chances to complete it by human was really low.
GENESIS: Emm, "Sonic the Hedgehog", huh ? Hate underwater level.
ARCADE: "Time Crisis (DX cabinet)"; "Golden Axe"; "Mercs";

Wow ghouls and ghosts 1CC? Did that include going through the game twice to get the proper ending? that musta taken hours!
Also the futari 1CC is quite impressive. I haven't come close on that one.
Here's a few I remember 1CCing:
Gradius V - 1CC
Metal Slug X - 1CC

and not a 1CC, but I once made it up to Ganon in the original legend of zelda without a sword. That's the farthest you can get bc you need a sword to actually defeat him. I died thousands of times doing that though.

I know all shoot'em up games some sort of a "formula" but I've been trying to get around Ikaruga and I can't seem to do it, the game is great but hard as hell.
Time Crisis 1 is also a difficult one, since you only receive a 10sec bonus after completing each section (unlike the games that came after that restored your time entirely)
Metal Slug 3 is another great game but extremely long to 1cc successfully.

Damn, some of you guys have serious skills. I've beaten a lot of hard games but it will take some practice to conquer them deathless / 1cc / what have you. I've gone through some fighting games 1cc but that's about it. (Fatal Fury 1, Real Bout 2, World Heroes 1, a couple others.)
Now that I have a Neo Geo X I might as well get to work on 1cc-ing those!
